9月12から16日まで、スーザンと攻はペンシルベニアを訪れ、USAサイクリングが開催する、マスターズトラック全国選手権に参加しました。アメリカ全土からレーサーたちが集まり、さまざまな競技に出場しました。攻は55-59歳のメンズ部門でスプリント（1対1）と500メートルのタイムトライアル（時間で争うレース）に参加しました。予選1位で勝ち抜き、なんとか6連勝達成、スプリントで金メダルを獲得しました！ 500メートルのタイムトライアルでは2位になり、銀メダルを獲得しました。試合の様子をインスタグラムにリールとして投稿したので、皆さんも見てください。https://www.instagram.com/reel/CT3BRwDJIJD/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet

Sept 12-16, Susan and Koh travelled to Pennsylvania for Koh to do his beloved bike racing. It was the Masters Track National Championships by USA Cycling. Racers from all over the United States gathered to compete in various track race events. Koh participated in the sprint (one on one) and the 500 meter time trial (race against the clock), in the mens division aged 55-59.  After qualifying 1st in his qualifier, he managed to win 6 straight races and won the gold in the sprint event.  For his 500 meter time trial, he came in second place and got the silver. とても興奮すべきニュースがあります…アメリカテレビ番組「トップシェフ」は、次のシーズン、シーズン19をヒューストンで撮影予定です。イエーイ！シリーズの司会者であるパドマ・ラクシュミは、メイン審査員のトム・コリッキオとゲイル・シモンズと共に審査員テーブルへ。ヒューストンの多様なコミュニティとユニークな歴史は、ベトナムや日本のタパスなどの定番料理が知られています。 100以上の異なる場所が撮影所として懸念されました。制作会社のマジカル・エルヴェスは、150人のスタッフ、そして60人の地元の方達の協力を得て撮影を行う予定です。

In super exciting news…The tv show ‘Top Chef’ is going to be filming their next season, Season 19, here in Houston! Series host Padma Lakshmi will return with head judge Tom Colicchio as well as Gail Simmons at the judge’s table. Houston’s diverse community and unique heritage is home to classics such as Viet-Cajun and Japanese tapas. More than 100 different locations were scouted as potential sites. Magical Elves is the production company and they will be bringing a talent crew of 150 people and an additional 60 local workers will be hired for filming. 

2021年9月19日に第570回 テキサス会ゴルフコンペでした。今回のコンペは「合同カップ」であり、従来のJBAHプレジデントカップ、総領事カップ、ユナイテッドカップを組み合わせたものでした。 COVIDの影響により、前回のJBAHゴルフトーナメントから約1.5年ぶりとなります。久しぶりに多くのお客さんや友人に会うことが出来てとても楽しかったです。 案浦不動産からうちわをゴルフカート用に寄付し、最優秀賞受賞者はユナイテッド航空の航空券を獲得しました！参加者全員にとって、とても楽しい1日でした！

Sept 19, 2021 was the 570th Texas-Kai Golf Tournament.  It was a ‘joint cup’ and combined the JBAH President Cup, Consul General Cup, and the United Cup. It’s been nearly 1.5 years since our last JBAH golf tournament because of COVID.  It was so fun to see many of our clients and friends at this event. Annoura Realty donated the Uchiwa fans for the golf carts and the grand prize winner won an airline ticket on United Airlines!  It was a super fun day for everyone!

アメリカへ来国を考えている旅行者にとって、大きなニュースがあります。 11月以降に、予防接種の署名書を持っている人、そして飛行機搭乗から3日以内にCOVID-19検査が陰性であれば、アメリカへ入国ができます。これまで、中国、イギリス、インドなどの特定の国からの多く人々はアメリカへの入国を禁止され、家族が18か月間も離れ離れになったり、実際に労働許可を持っている外国人をアメリカから離れることを余儀なくされていました。 CDCは、搭乗者と連絡が容易にとれるように航空会社から海外旅行者へ連絡先情報を収集することを要求しています。

Big news for foreign travelers coming into the USA.  Starting in November, foreigners will be able to fly into America if they have vaccination proof and a negative COVID-19 test within 3 days of their flight.  Until now, many foreigners from certain identified countries such as China, UK, and India have not been able to enter the US, causing families to be apart for 18 months and forcing foreigners who actually have work permits to stay out of America. The CDC will require airlines to collect contact information from international travelers to facilitate contact tracing.
