    案浦チームは6月も忙しく終える結果となりました！フェイスとスーザンは、非常に人気のあるボニーブレイ6プレックス内に賃貸用ユニットを市場へ出しました。 1日以内に6件の閲覧リクエストがあり、フェイスはオープンハウスを開催し（賃貸のために！）、すでに申込書をもらいました。一方、町の反対側ではスーザンとミックはゲート付き住宅内に賃貸用のタウンホームを市場へ出しました。このタウンホームは、ケイティで良い学校へ行くため家を購入した過去のクライアントが所有しています。メモリアルでは、7月1日に非常にトレンディなマッキンリーアパートに新しい日本人駐在員を迎えました。更に7月4日に新しい家族が到着し、ポー小学校とラニエ中学校の組み合わせが大人気の、グリーンブライアーアパートメンツの地区に引っ越します。先週、日本の札幌からレーンズボローアパートに若い歯科医もお迎えしました。彼はUTヘルスで12か月のプリセプターシップを行います。そしてスーザンはセカンドホームを望んでいた過去のクライアントのために、ギャラリアの中心部にある家具付きのとても素敵な2ベッドルームコンドミニアムの成約もしました。ナンはケイティで、販売と賃貸の両方で家を次々とクロージングし続けています。来週、スーザンとマリコは更に6つのコンドミニアムの成約予定です。これは、日本投資家が売主となる国際取引となります。最後になりましたが、新しく案浦不動産に迎えた2人のエージェント、カルメンとソルジオは、ガルベストンの土地をすでに契約を完了させました！こんな忙しい中チームは不動産ソーシャルイベントと、地元のお気に入りのローン会社であるAMCAPMortgageのローラ・ハインズと一緒にTommy’sで集まることもできました！

    Wrapping up June, Team Annoura has been busy! Fayth and Susan listed a unit for lease  inside the very popular Bonnie Brae 6-plex. Within 1 day, we had 6 requests to view. Fayth held an open house (yes, for a lease!) and is already working on an application. Meanwhile across town, Mik and Susan listed a townhome for lease inside the gated Steeplechase complex. This townhome is owned by a past client who bought a house in Katy and will move there because of the good schools. Over in Memorial, we welcomed a new expat into the very trendy McKinley Apartments on July 1. We have a new family arriving on July 4 who will move into the District at Greenbriar Apartments because of the very popular Poe Elementary + Lanier Middle School combination. Last week we welcomed a young dentist from Sapporo, Japan to the Lanesborough Apartments, where he will do a 12 month Preceptorship at UT Health. In the heart of the Galleria, Susan closed on the sale of a super nice 2 bedroom condo, fully furnished, for some past clients who wanted a second home. Nan continues to close house after house, both for sale and lease, in Katy. Coming up next week, Susan and Mariko will be closing on the sale of their next 6 condo units, another international closing with our seller in Japan. Last but not least, our two newest agents, Carmen and Sergio, already have their first deal under contract, a piece of land in Galveston! With everything going on, the team was able to get together twice for some drinks and bonding. One was at the Real Estate Social event and one at Tommy’s with our favorite local lender, Laura Haines of AMCAP Mortgage.

    丈の卒業パーティー！

    私が高校を卒業した時に、卒業パーティーをすることは習慣ではありませんでした。代わりに、両親が私の親友２たりとその家族と一緒にウェストハイマー（現在はパパスバーガーの場所）にあったストロベリーパッチへ夕食を食べに連れて行ってくれたことを覚えています。その後、私たち全員が大学に行く前にカリフォルニアへ旅行へ行ってもいいと言われ、友達とロサンゼルスへ行き、親戚の車を借りて、サンフランシスコまでパシフィックコーストハイウェイを運転したことを覚えています！ 32年後、私の長男が高校を卒業しました。ここ毎日20日間、誰かお友達の卒業パーティーに、友人の家やレストランに行っていました。私たちも常にパーティーしてあげたいと思いながらアイディアを考えていました。真理子は飾りを買うのを手伝い、セイワマーケットでお寿司を準備してもらい、両親からはフルーツトレーなどを作ってもらい、攻と愛ちゃんはお料理と掃除を手伝い、友達はゲームや椅子などを持ってきてくれて、みんなの協力もありながらお家で盛大な卒業パーティーを丈にプレゼントすることができました。ダブルスパイクボールネット、プールバレーボール、ゴルフゲーム、卓球、UNO、そしてたくさんの食べ物、飲み物、写真となる賑やかなパーティーとなりました。現在、丈は2週間ニューメキシコへフィルモントハイキング（ボーイスカウトと一緒に）出発し、週末に帰宅予定、その後すぐにテキサス大学の新入生オリエンテーションのためにオースティンへ向かいます！今年の夏はイベント行事ばかりの忙しい夏です…。

    Instead, I remember my parents took me out for dinner with my two best friends and their families. I think we went to the Strawberry Patch on Westheimer (now the location of Pappas Burger) and our parents said we could go on a trip to California the summer before we all went off to college. I remember we flew into Los Angeles, borrowed a relative’s car, and drove on the Pacific Coast Highway all the way up to San Francisco! Fast forward 32 years and my first son just graduated high school. Every day for 20 days, it seems like he was going to graduation parties. Most were at friends’ houses, some were at restaurants. I felt like we should do one but was worried how to do it?!  Thanks to Mariko helping to buy all the decorations, Seiwa Market for preparing several sushi trays, my parents making fruit trays and more sushi, Koh and Fayth cooking and cleaning, and friends bringing over games and chairs, we were able to throw a huge graduation party for Joe at our house. Double spike ball nets, pool volleyball, golfing games, ping pong, Uno, and lots of food, drinks, and photos. At the end of it, we were all dead tired, but it was totally worth it. Joe turned around and left for New Mexico for a 2 week Philmont hike (with the boy scouts), comes back for a weekend, then heads to Austin for his University of Texas new student orientation! This summer is flying by…

    The Houston Association of Realtors is one of the largest realtor associations in the  United States. There are over 46,000 members! Leading the association is a Board of Directors who is elected by the members every year. Candidates run in different categories, depending on the size and location of the candidate’s company. Once elected, each director serves a two year term. This year, the election will take place July 26-August 1 and all members of the Houston Association of Realtors can vote. Susan will be running this year in the Medium Firms category, which is for candidates whose companies have 5-24 Realtor members. To see her campaign video, click here: https://youtu.be/YtUIKq-jg9s .   • 日本へ帰国…？

    丈と泰が小さかった頃、毎年夏には攻の両親に会うために日本へ帰国していました。8歳と10歳になった頃には子供たちだけで日本に行くことも多々ありました！子供たちは昼間は博多小学校へ、学校の後は１００円玉をポケットいっぱいに積み込みローソンやセブンイレブンまでアロエヨーグルトやおにぎりを買いに行きます。自分達でビデオを撮ったりしてYouTubeにAnnobroという名前でチャンネルも開設しました。（私のお気に入りの一つはこれです: https://youtu.be/X__6BCeQfKc ）コロナが発症する前まではザックも日本へ毎年帰っていましたが、ここ2年間帰ることが出来ていません。まだ日本ではコロナの影響が激しく、人々はマスク着用をし小学校は海外からの生徒を受け付けることが出来ません。更に航空券が＄3000近くとなっており、数週間帰るだけでとても高値となっています。Facebookの思い出から2016年に攻とザックが日本へ帰った時の写真が出てきました！懐かしい！

    When Joe and Ty were little, we used to fly them back to Japan every summer to spend  time with Koh’s parents. By the time, they were 10 and 8, they were flying back and forth by themselves without us! They would attend Hakata Elementary school in the daytime then after school, walk the streets of Fukuoka with their pockets full of 100 yen coins and stop at Lawson’s or 7Eleven to buy aloe yogurt or onigiri rice balls. They even shot their own video footage and made their own YouTube channel, calling it AnnoBros. (This is one of my favorites: https://youtu.be/X__6BCeQfKc).  Until COVID, we had Zach going to Japan to also follow in this tradition, but sadly, he has not gotten to go the past two summers and now this summer again, he could not go. We heard that people in Japan are still very nervous about COVID, everyone is still wearing masks, and the elementary school was not able to welcome foreign students. On top of this, airline tickets were nearly $3000 per ticket, making it unafforadable to fly everyone over there for a couple of weeks. Facebook memories brought up this pic of Zach and Koh from 2016 June 30. Wow, how time flies!

  • 独立記念日！

    1776年7月4日は、第二回大陸会議が独立宣言を採択し、植民地がイギリスから分離したことを発表した日です。そのため、7月4日はアメリカが生まれた日であるアメリカの独立記念日と見なされます。一般的のお祝いの仕方は、お祭り、パレード、花火、バーベキュー、線香花火、コンサートや家族の集まりなどがあります。 National Sausage and Hot Dog Council（うわー、そのような組織がありますか？！）によると、アメリカ人は7月4日の休日に1億5000万匹のホットドッグを食べると予想されています！ここヒューストンで、最も大きなイベントとされるのはShell FreedomOverTexasと呼ばれています。合計6時間となるこちらのイベントは、ダウンタウン近くのアレンパークウェイに沿って開催され、約50,000人が参加する予定です。イベントは、音楽に合わせた信じられないほどの花火のフィナーレが有名で、人混みを避けたいという方は、テレビでも放映されるので、是非見てみてください。今年は、ジョンソン宇宙センターと提携して、NASAの宇宙飛行士、ロボットによるデモンストレーション、国際宇宙ステーションへのバーチャルリアリティのフィールドトリップを特集します。

    July 4th, 1776 is the day the Second Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of  Independence, announcing the colonies’ separation from Great Britain.  That is why July 4 is considered the birthday of America, the day America was born. Common celebrations include festivals, parades, fireworks, BBQs, sparklers, concerts, and family gatherings. According to the National Sausage and Hot Dog Council (wow, there is such an organization?!), Americans are expected to eat 150 million hot dogs over the 4th of July holiday! Here in Houston, the big event is called Shell Freedom Over Texas. This six hour event is held along Allen Parkway near downtown and some 50,000 people are expected to attend.  The event culminates with an incredible fireworks finale choreographed with music. If you don’t want to brave the crowd, just turn on your tv, as it will be televised as well. This year, Shell Freedom Over Texas will partner with the Johnson Space Center to feature NASA astronauts, robotic demonstrations, and virtual reality fieldtrips to the International Space Station!
