With the new year comes new beginnings! Our #1 mortgage lender, Laura Haines, is changing companies to Legend Home Lending. Her entire team moved from AMCAP Mortgage to LHL at the end of 2023 and will continue their good work at this local Houston company. Ty will graduate from high school in May of next year and is exploring his options for college. His first pick is the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD but he is also exploring options to wrestle at the college level. It’s not everyday that you turn 18 and officially into an adult! On Dec 21, our second son Ty turned 18 years old and we celebrate with a family dinner at our country club, Bay Oaks. Did you know that as an 18 year old, there are things you can now do because you are considered an adult?

ヒューストン ロデオが近づいており、国際委員会への資金を集めるために、2023 年 12 月 18 日にミズーリ市のデニスとアリシアの家で BBQ 101 イベントが開催されました。このお家は広いエーカーの敷地にあり、パーティーが開催された大きな「パーティー納屋」があります。巨大なバーベキューピットが搬入され、会長のランディ・ポーリーを含む数人のバーベキュー専門家が、バーベキューの方法やお気に入りのレシピについての短い教育セミナーを開催しました。天候にも恵まれ、参加者は素晴らしい時間を過ごしました。参加してくれた皆さん、そして主催してくれたデニスとアリシア、ありがとうございました！

The Houston Rodeo is around the corner and to raise money for the international committee, there was a BBQ 101 event held on Dec 18, 2023 at Dennis and Alicia’s house in Missouri City. The house sits on a large acre lot and has a big ‘party barn’ where the party was held. Huge BBQ pits were brought in and several BBQ specialists including our chairman Randy Pauly, held some short educational seminars on how to BBQ and some of their favorite recipes. The weather was perfect and the attendees had a wonderful time. Thank you to everyone who attended and to Dennis and Alicia for hosting!
