  • 第574回 テキサス杯 ゴルフ大会

    第574回 テキサス杯 ゴルフ大会が昨日5月21日にテキサス州ポーターのオークハースト ゴルフ クラブで開催されました。男性80名、女性9名の計89名が参加申し込みをしました。 2ホールのロングドライブコンテスト賞と、パー3ホールのピンに最も近いホール賞がありました。驚くほど涼しい天候の中スーザンは、他3人の選手（2人は千代田、1人は伊藤忠商事）と同じグループでの戦いとなりました。女子ティーボックスが男子ティーボックスのほぼ隣にあったため、スーザンにとってこの日は挑戦的な日ろとなりました。ホールは非常に長く、フェアウェイは非常に狭く、何度も木に当たり、さらにバンカーから打ち出すことに苦戦…。2ストロークのペナルティを数回受ける結果となりました。最終的に、スコアは酷い結果となりましたが (100+) 、なんとダブルペリア方式で順位を決定するので、スーザンはレディース部門で 1 位を獲得することができました！今大会も素敵な賞品がたくさんありました。スーザンさんはDAIKINからの加湿空気清浄機を獲得しました。多くのお客様達に会えて楽しい時間を過ごせました。共に楽しい時間を過ごしてくれたグループの皆様にもとても感謝しています。

    The 574th Texas Kai Golf Tournament happened yesterday, May 21 at the Oakhurst Golf Club in Porter, TX.  89 people signed up to participate, 80 men and 9 women.  There were awards for the long drive contest on two holes as well as awards for nearest to the pin on the par 3 holes. The weather was surprisingly cool. Susan was paired with three other players, two from Chiyoda and one from Itochu. It was a challenging day for Susan because the ladies tee box was pretty much right next to the mens tee box. The holes were very long and the fairways were very tight. Susan ran into tree trouble multiple times and took several two stroke penalties because she did not want to try hitting out of the sand for fear of bigger disasters. In the end, her score was terrible (could not break 100) but thanks to the very interesting Double Peoria System, Susan ended up getting first place in the ladies division! There were so many neat prizes this tournament.  Susan won a DAIKIN humidifier air purification machine. Good fun seeing many of our clients on the golf course and a big thank you to my group for a very fun time together!

    案浦家では大忙しの一週間となりました！ 先週末、泰とスーザンはテキサス州レスリング選手権大会のためにフォートワースに行きました。 タイは 132 階級 (体重制限なし) でフリースタイルとグレコに参加し、2 つの銅メダルを獲得しました。 州上位 3 位に入った選手は、夏に開催される2 つの大きな全国トーナメントにテキサス州代表として出場します。 1 つはオクラホマ州タルサでのデュアルス トーナメント、もう 1 つはノースダコタ州ファーゴでの名門トーナメントです。yヒューストンに戻り、ザックは学年末最後の日をタレントショーで締めくくりました。 ザックは、9 ホールのゴルフプレーのビデオをお披露目しました。 (https://youtu.be/xsVlZiyxqvg)
    次に、ザックの誕生日会です！本当は6月14日なのですが、日本に帰省中なため、5月20日に早めの誕生日パーティーをしました。お友達全員をお家に招待してプールパーティーをしました。次の日の日曜日には、ザックは日本の祖父母と丈に会いに行くため、一人で成田に、その後福岡へ旅立ちました。 攻は6月13日に日本帰省予定です。その前に、2023年のUCIパラサイクリングワールドカップに出場する日本のパラサイクリングチームを支援するためアラバマ州へ向かいます。 頑張れ、チームジャパン！

    The Annoura Family had an extremely busy week! Ty and Susan went to Fort Worth last weekend for the Texas State Wrestling Championships for Freestyle and Greco. Ty wrestled in the 132 weight class (no weight allowance) and came home with 2 bronze medals! The top 3 state placers qualify to represent Texas in two big national tournaments over the summer.  One is the duals tournament in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and one is the prestigious tournament in Fargo, North Dakota! Back home, Zach wrapped up his last day of school on May 19 with a talent show entry. We shot video of Zach playing a round of 9 holes of golf that was shown to his elementary school!     His birthday is June 14 but he will be in Japan, so we threw an early birthday party on May 20 and invited all his friends to our house for a pool party. Sunday May 21, Zach flew alone on ANA Airlines to Narita, then on to Fukuoka to find his Japanese grandparents and Joe! Koh will go catch up with the boys on June 13. Today, Koh is off to Alabama to help the Japanese ParaCycling team who are competing at the 2023 UCI Para-Cycling World Cup. Good luck to Team Japan!

    案浦不動産グループにとって、とても忙しい5月となりました！ これまでお手伝いしたことのない新しい企業からのお問い合わせも増え、嬉しいばかりです。 物件探しのお手伝い、入居の確認、承認の確認、新居探しに必要事項全てを支援するために全力を尽くしております。 各お客様ごとに異なる希望条件において、新居探しのお手伝いをさせていただいております。現在のトレンドは、ビデオルームであり、お客様が日本にいる状態で、オンラインで申し込み完了させます。 入居可能物件が限られている中、渡米前に条件を満たした物件を確実に確保できるようにする、最善の方法となっております。 今週は東京ガスの新入社員のサポートから始まり、SATAKEの新社長の物件探しのお手伝い、そしてカネカの社長の新居探しのお手伝い、NAINDの新しいインターン、更に7月に到着予定の三菱商事の駐在員さんのお手伝いをしました。 ダイキンからはお引越しご希望のお客様のお手伝いもしました。 真理子は三井からお引越し希望の駐在員家族のお手伝いを担当しました。 今週、新たなダイキン駐在員の方の出張の際に下見ツアー、そして i-Pro社からの駐在員の賃貸物件探しに取り組んでいます。 i-Proは、最近アメリカの企業に買収されたパナソニックの子会社でした。 案浦不動産は、これから駐在員さんたちのお引越しの支援をできることを心から光栄に思います。

    Annoura Realty Group has had a super busy May! It’s so exciting that we are more and more getting inquiries from new companies that we have not helped in the past. We give 200% effort to help folks find their homes, settle down, get qualified, whatever help they need. Each person comes to us with a different set of requests and it is our favorite challenge to think of how to help each person. The current trend is to video rooms and have our clients still in Japan, apply online. The inventory is so tight that this is the best way to make sure they can get the best room for the best price before they come. We kicked off the week helping a new Tokyo Gas young man, followed by the new CEO of Satake. We helped the CEO of Kaneka right after that, then a new intern for NAIND, and then a new Mitsubishi Corporation expat who will come in July. Daikin had one expat needing to change housing so we helped his family get a townhome in Memorial. Mitsui had one expat also needing to change housing so Mariko helped handle his house hunting successfully. On the horizons, we have a new Daikin expat coming this week and we are now working on a creative solution for our newest i-Pro client. i-Pro was a subsidiary of Panasonic who was bought out by an American company recently. Annoura Realty is honored to be helping this company and all their expats as well!

    今年のヒューストン ジャパンフェスティバル のテーマは、民 (tami) FOR THE PEOPLE! でした。 2023年のジャパンフェスティバルは、コロナのため4年間中断された後、初めて5月7日と8日に開催されました。 今年はイベントの創設から30 周年となりました。 また、日本庭園の30周年とヒューストン・千葉姉妹都市提携50周年を祝う年となりました。 以前、スーザンと攻はJACLブースで牛丼を作るボランティアをしていましたが、今年はスーザンがワシントンD.C.に出張中のため、攻はフェスティバルをザックと一緒に楽しみました！ 稔は居酒屋 和のブースでボランティアをしました。 ザックと泰の間で、JBAH の「金魚すくい」ブースで約 18 匹の魚を捕まえたので、案浦家ではこれから金魚を飼育することになります!

    ジャパン フェスティバルには何千人もの人々が参加し、 地元のヒューストン人にとって、食べ物、スポーツ、芸術、ゲーム、伝統を通して日本の文化を祝ったり、日米間の同盟関係を育む絶好の機会です。 

    The theme for this year’s Japan Festival Houston was 民 (tami) FOR THE PEOPLE! The 2023 Japan Festival came back on May 7 and 8 after a four-year long Covid hiatus. This year was the 30th anniversary of the founding of the event. In addition, the event celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Japanese Garden and the 50th anniversary of the Houston-Chiba Sister City relationship. In years past, Susan and Koh volunteered at the JACL booth making GYUDON (beef bowls) but this year, Susan was in Washington DC and Koh went both days with Zach simply to enjoy the festival! Mik volunteered at the Izakaya Wa booth. Between Zach and Ty, the boys caught around 18 fish at the JBAH ‘kingyo Sukui” booth so now the Annouras will be raising goldfish at their home!

    Thousands of people attend the Japan Festival in Hermann Park. It is a beautiful opportunity for local Houstonians to celebrate Japanese culture through food, sports, the arts, games, and traditions. The Festival also serves to cultivate the alliance between Japan and the United States.

    When people look for houses to buy or to rent, which website do they usually go to?  The answer is: It depends on which city they are in! For most places, the #1 website to check for inventory is Zillow.com or Realtor.com.  But, did you know in Houston, TX the #1 website for the newest and most up to date inventory is HAR.com?  That is because there are 50,000 realtors in Houston and everyone uses HAR.com to input their listings into. When doing so, they must abide by MLS rules, which require realtors to not only input only true and accurate data, but also to timely update their listings when the status changes. Ultimately, it is a manual process to change the status of a listing (for example, when an active listing goes under contract, a realtor must log into HAR.com and manually change the status to pending). What about Zillow in Houston? HAR.com syndicates their listings to dozens of other websites so the same data may appear on other websites such as Zillow. However, most realtors do not go into Zillow to update their listings so the data becomes old and out of date. The takeaway is when searching for Houston real estate, the most accurate and up to date information is going to be on HAR.com.
