  • JBAH ソフトボール トーナメント大会結果

    毎年恒例 JBAH ソフトボール トーナメントが 2023年4月23日に開催されました。残念なことに、スーザンと攻はカナダにいたため、初めて不参加となりましたが、居酒屋 和チームは私たちの期待を裏切ラナイ結果を残してくれました! 新たな強打者が加わり、決勝まで進出し、結果2位となりました。 シード権を獲得したため、２戦目から参戦しFCジャパンと対戦、4-3で勝利しました。 3試合目は千代田アローヘッズに5-2で勝利。 コメッツを8-7で下し、INPEX、うっかり紅忠兵衛、クリアレイクユナイテッド、ストームズを破り見事に決勝に進出したスミトモダッシュと対戦しました。 決勝は、居酒屋 和は5-4で敗北、優勝の名を手にしたのはスミトモダッシュでした!! 居酒屋 和のジャージスポンサーである案浦不動産は今年の優勝を期待していましたが、2位という好成績を出したチームメイトを誇りに思います! 今年のJBAHソフトボール大会に参加された皆様お疲れ様でした！そして優勝した住友さん、おめでとうございます！

    The annual JBAH softball tournament was held on April 23, 2023. Sadly, Susan and Koh were in Canada and missed it for the first time, but Team Izakaya Wa did not disappoint! With new heavy hitters joining the team, Team Izakaya Wa made it to the finals and finished at 2nd place. With a bye in the first round, Izakaya Wa (L) played FC Japan first and won 4-3.  The next game they hit Chiyoda Arrowheads and won 5-2. Heading to the next round, Izakaya Wa beat the Comets 8-7 to make it into the finals against Sumitomo Dash, who had beaten INPEX, Ukkari Benichuubei, Clear Lake United, and Storms to make it to the finals. In the final game, it was Sumitomo Dash who took the championship cup, beating Izakaya Wa 5-4!!  As a jersey sponsor for Team Izakaya Wa, Annoura Realty was really hoping for a championship this year, but we are super proud of Team Izakaya and their great results this year!  Congratulations to Sumitomo and Otsukaresamadeshita to everyone who participated in this year’s JBAH softball tournament!

    A recent article from Barron’s revealed that the millionaire population in Austin, TX more than doubled in the last 10 years.  It’s not just people from Hollywood moving to Austin that has made it the fastest-growing wealthy city in the country. The number of people living in Austin who have investable assets of at least $1 million grew by 102% during the last decade, ending 2022. Globally, Hangzhou in China had the fastest-growing millionaire population, with an increase of 105% since 2012. Both tech giant Netease and conglomerate Alibaba are headquartered in Austin. New York comes in as the overall wealthiest city in the world with 340,000 millionaires. Tokyo ranks second with 290,300 people with at least $1 million to invest. While not mentioned in the article, Houston ranked eighth in the country for the growth in the number of millionaires among the population and Dallas-Fort Worth came in at 18th.

    さて… 忙しい3月も終わりました! 前回のニュースレター以降、Friendswoodの新築物件の制約が完了し、保険の問題があったサンプターの家も、ついに家とガレージに新しい屋根が張り替えられ、無事に攻の自転車仲間の方の物件獲得となりました！その 2日後、カリフォルニアに住むKippersの所有者であるお友達の投資家は、制約を成功いたしました。 ちょうどいいタイミングでの成約となり、成約後オランダへ旅行へいきました! Independence Title の Brittany Ramos、ありがとう！ブロークン アローを含め、ダラスからの売主とシンガポールの売主、2件リモート オンライン公証人による成約と、モバイル公証人による成約を無事終えることができました。 これらの販売に加えて、賃貸も忙しかったです！ 竹原医師をテキサス メディカル センターに新たに迎え、ヤツイ氏をケイティの一軒家、そして2人の新しくダイキンからの駐在員さんのアパート探しのお手伝いをしました。更にリピーターのクライアント3 名の引っ越しを手伝い、新規のお客様には伊藤忠商事 + 三菱商事の外国人駐在員さんのお手伝いを控えています。案浦チームは、特に藤田　真理子と蛭子　稔は、多くの駐在員さんの方のヒューストンでの暮らしがより良いものになるよう心がけてお手伝いしています。また、攻と真理子は、85軒以上物件管理を行い、日々投資家の方と住人の方のケアをし、管理面のお手伝いも行なっています。 案浦不動産は、皆様の支援と信頼にとても感謝しています。ヒューストンにお引っ越し、リースまたは物権購入を考えている方、そして家の売却または賃貸のお手伝いが必要な方をご存知の方は是非、案浦不動産までご紹介ください!

    Well…we made it out of March and wow, was it busy! Since the last newsletter, the new build in Friendswood was completed and that sale closed. The home on Sumpter that we battled insurance over finally got its new roof on the house AND garage so we were able to complete that sale and get keys for Koh’s cycling friends. Two days after that, the investment home on Kippers closed for our seller friends in California. They were able to cash out and go on their trip to the Netherlands just in time! All three closings happened days before we closed Broken Arrow, the home in 77024 we helped get to closing with one seller in Dallas and one seller in Singapore.  Many thanks to Independence Title, Brittany Ramos, who made TWO Remote Online Notary closings happen and one mobile notary closing happen. Three out of the four we represented the seller. One out of the four, we represented the buyer. In addition to these sales, we were also busy with leases! We welcomed Dr. Takehara to the Texas Medical Center, Mr. Yatsui to a home in Katy, and found new apartments for two new Daikin expats. Up next will be helping three repeat clients change houses and we will help a newcomer Itochu + a newcomer Mitsubishi Corporation expat in the coming days. Good work to Team Annoura, especially Mariko Fujita and Mik Ebisu who are helping out and making a big difference in many people’s lives. Koh and Mariko are both helping with the property management side of the company so that our investors and tenants of 85+ properties are always taken care of.   • TREPACの夕食会 – 日本について

    TREPAC とは、Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee の頭文字から名された委員会です。これは住宅所有を促進し、不動産の権利を保護することを中心に活動しています。 主に同じ考え方を持つ候補者や政治家を支援するための募金活動を行います。ヒューストン不動産協会の TREPAC委員会は、グローバル委員会と協力し TREPAC グローバル ディナー シリーズを企画しました。 スーザンの過去のお客さん兼Nobu’sの総料理長であるEijiさんの協力の元、素敵なおまかせメニューの作成、計36人におもてなししました。（チケットはなんと２４時間以内に完売でした！）ヒューストン不動産協会からも大好評であり、より多くの人体験できるよう、2回目のディナーを開催することが決定しました。 おまかせメニューには有名な黒タラの味噌和え、白身の薄造り、天ぷら、ブリの刺身、にぎりと巻きの盛り合わせ、その他いくつかのユニークな料理がもてなされました。 弊社 案浦不動産がいつもお世話になっている、AMCAP モーゲージの Laura Haines (外国人向けの優れたローン会社)、Independence Title (国際的なクロージングに優れたタイトル会社)、DAIKIN (ヒューストンで人気の日本企業であり、世界最大の HVAC メーカー) の方々がスポンサーとなってくれました。 ディナー#2 は4月12日水曜日に開催される予定です！

    TREPAC is an acronym that stands for Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee. The mission of the committee is to promote home ownership and to protect real property rights. They do this by raising money and backing candidates and politicians who also have the same mindset. The Houston Association of Realtors TREPAC committee joined with the HAR Global Committee to put together a TREPAC Global Dinner Series and the first one was a Focus on Japan! Because Susan’s past client is the executive chef at Nobu’s, Susan and Eiji put together a super nice OMAKASE menu and 36 people signed up for the dinner on March 29. It sold out in 24 hours! HAR was so pleased that they decided to hold a second dinner at Nobu’s so that more people could come experience a Japanese Omakase dinner. On the menu was the famous Black Cod with Miso, Shiromi Usuzukuri, Tempura, Yellowtail Sashimi, Assorted Nigiri and Maki, and several other unique dishes. Sponsors included all of Annoura Realty Group’s important Houston partners: Laura Haines with AMCAP Mortgage (excellent lender for expats), Independence Title (excellent for international closings), and DAIKIN (Houston’s favorite Japanese company and the world’s largest HVAC manufacturer). Dinner #2 will take place on Wednesday April 12.

  • UT ママの週末！

    大学生のお子さんのいる読者の方は同感できるかもしれません…　攻とスーザンの長男 丈は現在、テキサス大学の 2学期目を終えようとしています。 いつかビジネススクールに入学することを目標に経済学を勉強しています。 Kappa Sigmaという団体に所属し、先週末はママの週末でした。 多くのお母さんが息子たちと一緒にさまざまな活動に参加するためにオースティンに訪れました。 アクティビティの1つはトップ ゴルフ コンペ (スーザンと丈は2位獲得!) で、もう1つはオースティン湖でのリバー ボート クルーズでした。ボートはフラ ハットから出発し、美しく有名なペニーバッカー ブリッジまでクルーズします。 途中、川の両岸に美しい家々が並んでいるのが見え、カクテルとメキシコ料理のランチが提供されてとても優雅な時を過ごしました。丈の団体の家へ寄り、6番街にあるレイニー ストリートのジャーマン ビア ガーデンで大学の友人や他のお母さんたちとも楽しい時間を過ごしました。丈がもう19歳だなんて信じられません… 時間が経つのは早いものですね!

    Any readers out there with kids in college?  Koh and Susan’s first son Joe is now at University of Texas in his second semester. He is studying economics with a goal of getting into the Business School someday. Joe joined a fraternity called Kappa Sigma and last weekend was Mom’s Weekend. Many moms went to Austin to participate in different activities with their sons. One activity was a Top Golf Competition (Susan and Joe got second place!) and one was a River Boat Cruise on Lake Austin. The river boat left from the Hula Hut docks and went up to river to the beautiful and famous Pennybacker Bridge. Along the way were beautiful homes lining both sides of the river. The cruise served cocktails and a Mexican food lunch. Susan also got to visit Joe’s fraternity house, spend time with Joe on 6th Street, and visit with his friends and other moms at a German Beer Garden on Rainey Street. Can’t believe Joe is already 19… time flies!
