イースター休暇には家族が集合する良い機会となりました。案浦家では毎年恒例の大規模なイースターエッグハントを行っており、息子３人ともに卵を求めて全力疾走したり、ダイビングしたりしていますが、ジョーが今年は帰省をしないため、初めてエッグハントを中止し、オースティンまで卵を探しに行く代わりに代わりに丈を探しにいきました！テキサス ブルーボネットが満開の季節を堪能するため、オースティンに行く途中に寄り道し、美しい自然を満喫できる最高の旅となりました。私たちは攻をホビー空港で降ろし、スーザン、泰、ザックは車でで向かい、飛行機に乗った攻とどちらが早く到着するか競走しました。バストロップで大渋滞に遭わなかったら、おそらく同時到着でしたが、攻が勝つ結果となりました！読者はおそらく笑っている方も多いかと思いますが、実はプロモーション用コンパニオンパスを入手するためのサウスウエスト航空からの特別企画の一環でした。攻は出場資格を得るためには5月までにもう1つ獲得する必要があるため、挑戦は続きます…オースティン到着後、家族一族はマーブルフォールズに行って有名な農家を見に行き、それからインクス湖まで車で出かけ、そこに向かう途中でとても綺麗な滝を見つけました。午後のワインテイスティングのために立ち寄ったペリッソスというブドウ園もとても楽しかったです。これを書いている時点では、私たちはまだ泰の進学先から結果を待っています。彼の第一希望（海軍兵学校）からはまだ返答がありませんが、上海（中国）キャンパスへの入学を認めたニューヨーク大学から連絡がありました。今週末にはケースウェスタンとWPIへの訪問を予定しています。最終的な選択がどのようになるのか、そして泰がどの道を選ぶのかを待っている今は、案浦にとっては不安な時期となっています。

もう一つの大きなニュースとして、攻は土曜日に、韓国と日本へ出発しました。ダービーホイールと呼ばれる新しい世界規模の競輪リーグがスタートし、彼はそれに挑戦する予定です。 57歳という年齢で、競輪レースはもうやめたと思われていたかもしれませんが、彼は今も競輪を愛し、また競い合いたいと思っています。もし選抜された場合、攻のレースはマンチェスター・イングランドで行われることになるが、すべてはまだ非常に暫定的なものです。レースが決まり次第、見に行く準備をします！頑張れ、攻！

Easter holiday gave our family a chance to get together. The Annouras usually have a big Easter egg hunt at the house with our 3 boys sprinting and diving for eggs, but with Joe not coming home for the holidays, we decided to nix our egg hunt for the first time ever and go to Austin to find Joe. The season was perfect for Texas bluebonnets so it was a great time to hit some of the Texas backroads so soak up some beautiful nature. Heading to Austin, we dropped Koh off at Hobby Airport so he could fly there, while Susan, Ty, and Zach raced him in the car. If we wouldn’t have hit heavy traffic in Bastrop, we probably would have tied him, but Koh beat us! Readers probably think this is crazy but it was part of the Southwest Airlines special to get a promotional companion pass. Koh will need to get one more one way in by May to qualify so the challenge continues… The family went up to Marble Falls to see the famous farmhouse, then drove out to Inks Lake and on the way there, found a very cool vineyard called Perissos where we stopped for an afternoon of wine tasting! At time of writing, we are STILL waiting on Ty’s college decisions. His #1 choice (The Naval Academy) has not answered yet, but we did hear from NYU, who admitted him for their Shanghai (China) campus. We have visits scheduled for Case Western and WPI for this weekend. This is definitely a stressful time for all of us, as we wait to see what the final choices will be, and to see which path Ty chooses to go.

In other big news, Koh left for Korea and Japan on Saturday. There is a new world wide KEIRIN league starting called Derby Wheel that he will be trying out for. At age 57, one would have thought he was done with competitive keirin racing, but he still loves the sport and wants to compete. If he makes it, his races will be in Manchester England although everything is still very tentative. We shall see if he makes the cut first and go from there!  Gambare, Koh!

Attention ramen lovers!!  There is a new ramen restaurant in Houston called Tsujita Artisan Noodle and it just grand opened on the west side of Houston. Tsujita has five (almost 6) locations: three locations in California (with one more coming in May), one in New Jersey, and now one in Houston! Tsujita originated in Tokyo in 2003 and has 18 locations in Japan. Taking a look at their menu, they have Tsukemen (noodles where you dipped them in tasty soup) as well as Ramen (Hakata Tonkotsu, chicken, miso, or veggie). They also have various rice bowls (katsu curry or chashu bowl) and a nice appetizer menu with everything from takoyaki to gyoza to karaage. Tsujita Ramen Retaurant is located at 12230 Westheimer Rd, A-160, Houston, TX 77077. We are excited to go check it out!

In major real estate industry news, NAR (National Association of Realtors) settled a commissions lawsuit last week, shaking up the realtor community and associations across the United States. The problem is that the media has twisted the story and has put out incorrect information which is causing lots of confusion to the public. Because of this, there are several good websites to visit to get correct information. こちらの記事は特別なものです。 私たちは次男の泰を誇りに思います。彼は春休みにクラブコーチのジョー・フォースマンと一緒にアイオワに訪れ、126ポンド級で全国での競合相手に全国大会に参加しました。 この大会は USA Wrestling (USAW) を通じて開催され、 2024 Junior Boys & Girls Folkstyle Nationals という大会です。 全米代表になるには、上位 8 位以内に入る必要がありますが、泰はかろうじてそれを達成し、8 位を獲得しました。 昨年 10 月、タイはアイオワ州で行われた別の全国大会 (プレシーズン ナショナルズ) で 4 位となり、高校時代のオールアメリカンに 2 回出場しました。 高校生活も残り 2 か月あまりですが、泰がどこの大学に進学するのか、卒業後にレスリングをするのかはまだわかりません。 彼はいくつかの異なる大学からのオファーを検討しており、海軍兵学校への応募結果を待っているところです。 祈り続けてください！ 来月には彼の今後の進路の報告ができそうです。CLOSE

This deserves a story by itself! We are proud of our second son Ty, who went to Iowa with his club coach, Joe Forsman, over spring break and battled against some of the toughest competition in the United States in the 126 pound category. The competition was through USA Wrestling (USAW) and the name of the event was the 2024 Junior Boys & Girls Folkstyle Nationals. In order to become an All American, one must finish in the top 8 spots and Ty barely made it, taking home the 8th spot! Last October, Ty finished 4th at another national tournament in Iowa (PreSeason Nationals), making him now a 2 time high school All American! With only a little over 2 months left of high school, we are still unsure of where Ty will go for college or if he will wrestle after he graduates. He is considering offers from a few different universities and is still waiting for the results of his Naval Academy application. Please keep him in your prayers! We should hopefully know his future path in the coming month.

春休みのため、この2週間は沢山の行事でいっぱいです！ 案浦一家は初めて、春休みを全員別々に過ごしました。 泰は釣り旅行に出かけ、帰宅後、大きな全国レスリングトーナメントのためにアイオワまで遠征となりました。 丈は日本から遊びに来ていた彼女のサナの、テキサス州立公園でキャンプに行きたいという希望に添えてザックを連れて旅行に行きました。 3人はスーザンのお父さんのバンを借りて、テキサスの丘陵地帯に行きました。 グアダルーペ川州立公園内にテントを張り、ハイキングをし、キャンプファイヤーを作り（もちろん丈はスモアの作り方を教えてくれました！）、涼しいテキサスの空の下で眠りました。 子供たちのお世話を終えたスーザンと攻は、タークス・カイコス諸島への 5 日間の夫婦旅行へ旅立ちました。 行ったことがない人は、是非行ってみてください！ こんなに純粋で青い海を見たことがありません。 滞在中にいくつかのビーチを訪れ、受賞歴のあるグレース ベイ ビーチ、サンセット ビーチ、そしてお気に入りのテイラー ベイ ビーチもおすすめです。 また、イグアナ島とマングローブ ケイへのカタマラン シュノーケリング ツアーと 1 日カヤック ツアーを予約し、ウミガメ、小さなサメ、さらにはマンタまで見ることが出来ました。 攻は旅行中ずっと風邪と闘っていましたが、なんとか乗り越え、ビーチから１分の小さなお家に滞在しました。 多忙続きの毎日をリフレッシュし、エネルギーを取り戻すために良い旅となりました。CLOSE

So much has happened over the past 2 weeks because of Spring Break! The Annouras for the first time in history, spent spring break all separated. Ty went on a fishing trip and then came home and turned around and went to Iowa for a big national wrestling tournament. Joe had his girlfriend Sana here still from Japan and fulfilled her request to go camping at a Texas State Park. They volunteered to bring Zach with them so the three of them borrowed Susan’s dad’s van and hit the Texas hill country! They pitched a tent inside Guadalupe River State Park and did some hiking, made a campfire (and of course Joe showed her how to make S’mores), and slept under the cool Texas skies. With all the kids handled, Susan and Koh booked a 5 day trip to TURKS AND CAICOS islands! Wow, if you have never been there, you must go check it out. I have never seen water color that pure and blue! While there, they visited several beaches; of course the award winning Grace Bay Beach, Sunset Beach, and their favorite Taylor Bay Beach. They also booked a catamaran snorkeling trip and a one day kayak excursion to Iguana Island and Mangrove Cay, where they saw sea turtle after sea turtle, a small shark, and even a manta ray. Though Koh was fighting a cold the whole trip, he was able to hang in there and the two of them stayed in a perfect little home one minute from the beach. It was just what they needed to reset, refresh, and regain their energy!
