    春休みのため、この2週間は沢山の行事でいっぱいです！ 案浦一家は初めて、春休みを全員別々に過ごしました。 泰は釣り旅行に出かけ、帰宅後、大きな全国レスリングトーナメントのためにアイオワまで遠征となりました。 丈は日本から遊びに来ていた彼女のサナの、テキサス州立公園でキャンプに行きたいという希望に添えてザックを連れて旅行に行きました。 3人はスーザンのお父さんのバンを借りて、テキサスの丘陵地帯に行きました。 グアダルーペ川州立公園内にテントを張り、ハイキングをし、キャンプファイヤーを作り（もちろん丈はスモアの作り方を教えてくれました！）、涼しいテキサスの空の下で眠りました。 子供たちのお世話を終えたスーザンと攻は、タークス・カイコス諸島への 5 日間の夫婦旅行へ旅立ちました。 行ったことがない人は、是非行ってみてください！ こんなに純粋で青い海を見たことがありません。 滞在中にいくつかのビーチを訪れ、受賞歴のあるグレース ベイ ビーチ、サンセット ビーチ、そしてお気に入りのテイラー ベイ ビーチもおすすめです。 また、イグアナ島とマングローブ ケイへのカタマラン シュノーケリング ツアーと 1 日カヤック ツアーを予約し、ウミガメ、小さなサメ、さらにはマンタまで見ることが出来ました。 攻は旅行中ずっと風邪と闘っていましたが、なんとか乗り越え、ビーチから１分の小さなお家に滞在しました。 多忙続きの毎日をリフレッシュし、エネルギーを取り戻すために良い旅となりました。CLOSE

    So much has happened over the past 2 weeks because of Spring Break! The Annouras for the first time in history, spent spring break all separated. Ty went on a fishing trip and then came home and turned around and went to Iowa for a big national wrestling tournament. Joe had his girlfriend Sana here still from Japan and fulfilled her request to go camping at a Texas State Park. They volunteered to bring Zach with them so the three of them borrowed Susan’s dad’s van and hit the Texas hill country! They pitched a tent inside Guadalupe River State Park and did some hiking, made a campfire (and of course Joe showed her how to make S’mores), and slept under the cool Texas skies. With all the kids handled, Susan and Koh booked a 5 day trip to TURKS AND CAICOS islands! Wow, if you have never been there, you must go check it out. I have never seen water color that pure and blue! While there, they visited several beaches; of course the award winning Grace Bay Beach, Sunset Beach, and their favorite Taylor Bay Beach. They also booked a catamaran snorkeling trip and a one day kayak excursion to Iguana Island and Mangrove Cay, where they saw sea turtle after sea turtle, a small shark, and even a manta ray. Though Koh was fighting a cold the whole trip, he was able to hang in there and the two of them stayed in a perfect little home one minute from the beach. It was just what they needed to reset, refresh, and regain their energy!

    案浦家のニュースでは昨年の夏、丈は福岡外国語大学で日本語を勉強していた日本で、サナという女の子に出会いました。二人は交際することになり、現在彼女は丈に会うためにテキサスに来ています！泰はテキサス州総体で高校レスリング選手としてのキャリアを終えました。初日はエルパソ出身の選手とダラス出身の選手に2勝し、完璧な結果となリマした。 2日目は1日目と比べて困難なものとなり、泰は一戦目敗北、その後向きを変え、同じ地域からの選手に敗北。これらの敗北により、彼は 5 位決定戦に出場することになりましたが、それはとても痛ましい結果となり、3 回の延長戦に突入しました。結局、土壇場で勝利する結果となり、昨年より一つ上の表彰台に立つことができました。私たちは泰の努力とスポーツへの献身をとても誇りに思っています。彼が高校生活最後のレスリングの試合に取り組むのを見るのは、ほろ苦い瞬間でした。まださまざまな大学からの返答を待っているところですが、彼が最終的にどこに行くのか、大学でレスリングをするかどうかはわかりません。これまでのところ、彼には Colorado School of Mines, Worcester Polytechnic Institute,、そして最近ではRochester Institute of Technologyでレスリングをする機会があります。彼の第一志望校からは合否を発表されていないですが、彼が合格することを祈っています。これからのニュースレターにて発表を乞うご期待！

    攻とスーザンはこれから出張三昧となります。スーザンは会議のためにワシントンDCとスコッツデール、そしてガルベストンに出張予定です。攻は、クライアントである日本のパラサイクリストの大会のため、ベルギーとイタリアへの旅行を控えています。

    In Annoura Family news, it’s a toss up on who gets the first news coverage.  Maybe Joe this time! While in Japan last summer studying Japanese at the Fukuoka Foreign Language College, he met a girl named Sana. The two of them dated, and now she is in Texas visiting Joe! In other Annoura son news, Ty completed his high school wrestling career at the Texas State tournament. Day 1 went perfectly with two wins over a guy from El Paso and a guy from Dallas. Day 2 was not as easy. Ty hit a strong match with another El Paso guy and lost, then turned around and was upset by a guy in his region. These losses put him in the match for 5th place, which turned out to be a real nail biter, going into triple overtime! In the end, he won at the very last second and was able to stand on the podium, one spot better than last year. We are so proud of Ty’s efforts and his dedication to his sport. It was a bitter sweet moment to watch him wrestle his last wrestling match of his high school career. We are still waiting on answers from different universities and don’t know where he might end up or whether he will wrestling in college. So far, he has the opportunity to wrestle for Colorado School of Mines, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and most recently Rochester Institute of Technology. His #1 choice has not announced yay or nay yet, so we are still holding our breath and praying that he gets it. Check back to the newsletter for updates!

    On the horizon for Koh and Susan is a lot of travel.  Conventions in DC and Scottsdale, leadership overnight in Galveston for Susan.  Koh’s is way more interesting with trips to Belgium and Italy coming up for competitions for his Japanese paracyclist client.

    泰は高校生活の終わりに近づいており、どこの大学に進学するかを決める必要があります。彼は大学でレスリングをすることを希望していますが、現在の第一希望はメリーランド州アナポリスにある海軍学校です。軍事学校に入学するには、州上院議員または下院議員の推薦状を取得することから始まり、非常に複雑な申請手続きが必要です。泰は幸いにもクルーズ上院議員からの指名を獲得し、すべての書類を提出したが、返答は遅くとも４月までに届かない可能性があります。その間、レスリングの強豪大学も泰は視野に入れており、現在の第一候補はコロラド州ゴールデンにあるデンバー近郊の D2 学校であるコロラド スクール オブ マインズのようです。コーチたちは泰を招待ししたため、スーザンも先週末に二度目の訪問に同行しました。チームのレスラーのうち 2 人が私たちにキャンパスを案内し、練習の見学、その後ゴールデンのダウンタウンでコーチたちと夕食をとりました。翌日、私たちはマイン学校のレスリングチームのホームデュアルでの試合を観戦しました（彼らが勝ちました）。スーザンにとっては、幼馴染のキャサリンとも時間を過ごすことができ、とても楽しい旅行となりました。帰宅前に、全員がエコー マウンテンを訪れてチュ​​ービングを楽しみ、旅に終止符を打ちました。

    As Ty nears the end of his high school career, we need to decide where he might go to college. While he longs to wrestle in college, his #1 choice of schools it the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. It is a very complicated application process to go to any of the military academies, beginning with needing to get the recommendation letter of a state senator or congressman. Ty was blessed to get the nomination from Senator Cruz and has submitted all his paperwork but may not hear an answer as late as April. In the meantime, several colleges have shown interest in Ty wrestling for them. His favorite so far seems to be the Colorado School of Mines, a D2 school near Denver (in Golden, CO). The coaches invited Ty for a visit so Susan accompanied him for a second visit there last weekend. Two of the wrestlers on the team gave us a full tour of the campus, we got to watch the team practice, then we had dinner with the coaches in downtown Golden. The following day, we got to watch the School of Mine wrestling team compete in a home dual (they won) and Ty found time to get his hair cut and curled for his upcoming competitions. All in all, it was a good trip and a great time for Susan to spend some time with her childhood friend, Catherine. Everyone wrapped the trip with a visit to Echo Mountain for some tubing before catching our flight home.

    Tis the season for a Annoura Family Vacation! The five of us packed into Koh’s truck and drove to Pagosa Springs, Colorado for a short Christmas trip. We own a small property there and this was a good chance to check the condition of our place as well as meet the new property management team in charge of our short term leases. We arrived on Dec 23 and hit the Wolf Creek slopes on Dec 24, 25, and 26.  Susan and Koh skiied while Joe, Ty, and Zach snowboarded. It was special to have our family friends the McGaritys fly in to join us! The four adults enjoyed a soak in the hot spring baths at The Springs. Did you know that Pagosa Springs has the world’s deepest known geothermal hot springs?! This makes this little city very special and the reason we picked it for our small second home!     サンクスギビングの休暇中に、案浦家は家族旅行に行きました。家族全員大好きな、キャンピングカー旅行に行くことを毎年行事にしています。いつも通り、テキサス州ベルネにあるアメリカン ドリーム バケーションズ支店からレンタルをし、今年はなんと 26 フィートのクラス A タイプのキャンピングカーを借り、4 つの州立公園を訪れました。テキサス州立公園を訪れたことがない方々は、割引が適用されるパーク パスを購入することをお勧めします！予約が遅くなったため、開いている公園をすべて予約するためにパスを購入し、そのおかげで様々な場所を楽しむことができました。最初の 2 泊は南リャノ川州立公園から始まり、川沿いをハイキングしました。聖金曜日には、フレデリックスバーグ郊外にあるエンチャンテッド州立公園とその周辺をハイキングして過ごしました。夕方には、レディ バード ジョンソン RV パーク（州立公園ではない唯一の公園）に滞在し、翌日ブランコ州立公園に出かけました（ここで攻はナマズを捕まえました！）。丈をオースティンに送った後（テキサス大学は翌日から学校が始まりました）、オースティンのダウンタウンからわずか 20 分のマッキンニー フォールズ州立公園で最後の夜を過ごし、家族旅行の終盤を迎えました。この旅行で一番のお気に入りとなったのは、色々な場所でハイキングをしたこと、エンチャンテッド ロックの頂上で攻の誕生日をお祝いできたこと、そして自分たちで毎日料理したことです。調理と火起こしには、2 人のイーグル スカウトが同行してくれたので助かりました。家族全員楽しむことのできた旅行となりました！

    Thanksgiving break provided the Annouras time to go on a family vacation! One of our favorite things to do is to go on a motorhome trip. As usual, we rented from American Dream Vacations, the branch in Boerne, TX. This year we rented a 26 foot Class A type motorhome and visited four different state parks. If you have never visited a Texas State Park, I highly recommend you buy a Park Pass for all the discounts! Booking so late in the game, we had to grab whatever parks that were open, but that allowed us to check out many different places! We started out our first two nights at South Llano River State Park, getting to hike along the beautiful Llano River. Good Friday we spent hiking up and around Enchanted State Park, just outside of Fredericksburg. In the evening, we stayed at Lady Bird Johnson RV Park (the only non State Park), and the following day we went out to  Blanco State Park (Koh caught a catfish!). After dropping Joe back to Austin (UT started school the next day), we wrapped up our trip with a final night at McKinney Falls State Park, just 20 minutes from downtown Austin. Our favorite parts about the trip were all the different beautiful hikes, celebrating Koh’s birthday on top of Enchanted Rock, and planning/cooking all of our own meals. It helped to have two Eagle Scouts with us for all the cooking and fire building!  All in all, it was a great trip for everyone!
