ヒューストン不動産協会（Houston Association of Realtors）は、ヒューストン地域の不動産エージェントが所属するローカルの不動産団体で、約50,000名の会員が在籍しています。また、州レベルではテキサス不動産協会という団体があり、テキサス州内すべての不動産エージェントが所属しており、こちらは約150,000名の会員数を誇ります。テキサス不動産協会では毎年2回大きな集まりが開催され、2月はガバナンスや各種委員会の会議が中心となるミーティング、8月は多数の会議に加え会員向けのクラスやセミナーも行われる大規模な会議が開催されます。2月6日から10日まで、スーザンはオースティンにてガバナンスミーティングに参加しています。現在、Member Benefits CommitteeおよびConference Committeeの委員を務め、Conference Committeeでは直前の委員長として活動しています。また、ヒューストン地域にあたるRegion 14を代表するRegional Vice Presidentも務めております。期間中は毎日数多くのイベントや会議が行われ、州内各都市から不動産業界のリーダーたちがオースティンに集まっています。明日は大きな役員ミーティングが予定されており、次期Secretary/Treasurerを選出する選挙が行われます。このポジションはエグゼクティブラインの一員となり、3年後にはテキサス不動産協会の会長へと就任する重要な役割であるため、非常に大切な選挙となっています。
The Houston Association of Realtors is the local real estate association to which Houston realtors belong. We have about 50,000 members. There is also a state association called Texas Realtors, where all Texas real estate agents belong. There are about 150,000 members. Every year, Texas Realtors has two gatherings. One is in February, where governance and committee meetings are conducted, and one is in August, a large conference where more meetings are held and many classes are also offered to the members. February 6-10 Susan is in Austin for governance meetings. She serves on the Member Benefits Committee as well as the Conference Committee as the immediate past chairperson. Susan is also a Regional Vice President representing Region 14, which is the region of Houston. There are many events and meetings to attend everyday and realtor leaders from every city are now in Austin for these meetings. The big Board of Directors meeting is tomorrow, where we will have an election to select the next Secretary/Treaurer. That person will become part of the executive line and will move to be the Chairman of Texas Realtors in 3 years, so it is a very important election!
