案浦家からの最新ニュースは、丈の高校生最後のゴルフシーズンが4月21日に終わりを迎えたことです。クリアレイク高校は6A UILリージョナルゴルフトーナメントで4位となりました。 6Aは、2100人以上の子供がいる最大とされるカテゴリーとなっています。各チームは5人の選手で構成され、2日間のトーナメントとなっています。各日、その日に一番最低となるスコアを数えずに上位4つのスコアだけを合計し争います。2日間の合計が最も少ない学校が勝ちます。トップ3の学校が州大会に進むこととなり、選手全員が全力で戦います。キングウッド高校とメモリアル高校は非常に強力なゴルフ学校として有名であり、今年はクリアレイク高校（丈の所属するチーム）も非常に期待されており、3位になることを期待していました。とても接戦なトーナメントとなり、時速20マイルとなる強風の中、クリアレイク高校はトップ3で1日目を終了しました。2日目には苦戦する結果となり、最終的には３打差でサイプレスクリーク高校に敗れ、4位の結果となりました。子どもたちにとってはとても悔しい結果となり、丈の高校生活におけるゴルフのキャリアを締めくくる結果ともなりました。丈は7年生でゴルフを始め、毎日休むことなく頑張って練習に励み向上した6年間のキャリアを終えることとなりました。丈のゴルフ仲間、コーチ、そしていつも支えて応援してくれた皆様に感謝します。本当にありがとうございました。丈、お疲れ様！

In Annoura Family news, Joe’s high school golf season ended April 21 when Clear Lake High School came in 4th place at the 6A UIL Regional Golf Tournament. 6A is the category for the largest high schools, with a student population of 2100 kids or more.  Each team has 5 players and the tournament is a two day tournament.  Each day, the team’s total score is calculated by taking the top 4 scores and dropping the lowest one. At the end of the two day tournament, the school with the lowest two day total wins.  All teams are trying to place in the top 3 spots because the top 3 schools move to the next level, which is the Texas state tournament.  For our region, Kingwood High School and Memorial High School are always extremely strong golf schools. This year, Clear Lake High School (Joe’s team) was also very strong and had a decent chance to take the 3rd spot. It was an extremely tight competition with Clear Lake actually finishing in the top 3 after the first day in very, very 20 mph wind conditions. But, on day 2, the Clear Lake players could not hang on and in the end lost by 3 strokes to Cypress Creek High School for the coveted 3rd spot. It was heartbreaking for the boys, and wrapped up Joe’s high school golf career. What an amazing 6 year journey watching Joe start in 7th grade and improve over the years. We are thankful for his golfing friends and coaches for all of their support.

女性不動産協会ヒューストンは、20日にリバーオークス地区内に位置するお洒落な本屋さん、アソリン(Assouline Bookstore)でイベントを主催しました。こちらのお店では、コーヒーテーブルに飾る本を販売しています。てとも大きいデコレーション用の本で、芸術作品その物です。イベントのテーマは「高級ブランドの作り方」でした。不動産業者に高級住宅市場でのクライエントの見つけ方など、が75万ドル以上の住宅を売買する方法を目的としたイベントとなりました。プロのカメラマンも雇い、メンバーとゲストのために宣伝材料用の写真撮影を行い、シャンパンやワイン、チーズにクラッカーなどと一緒に楽しみながらネットワーキングをしました。女性不動産協会ヒューストンについての詳細は、是非以下のリンクからご覧ください。The Womens Council of Realtors Houston hosted their April event on the 20th at the swanky Assouline Bookstore inside the River Oaks District. This bookstore sells super nice coffee table books of all titles. These books are very large and decorative, much like a piece of art!  The theme of the event was “Building Your Luxury Brand” and was aimed at teaching realtors how to work in the luxury home market, helping people buy and sell $750k+ homes. We hired a professional photographer to take head shots and lifestyle shots for our members and guests and served prosecco and charcuterie as light bites. Everyone was dressed up for the event and enjoyed an upscale evening of education and networking. ヒューストン日本人商工会では毎年ソフトボール大会が開催されます。コロナの影響により、残念ながら過去２年間は中止となりました。4月17日に、カレン公園(競輪場のすぐ隣！)に多くの日本企業から総勢２１チームが参加しました。住友や三井など、同じ会社の従業員で構成されたチームもあります。クリアレイクユナイテッドや居酒屋　和チームは、さまざまな企業の友人でのチームもあります。 案浦不動産、居酒屋　和、およびNOAC（ヒューストンナビを提供するサイト）は、シェベロン、JFC、サンシャイン　リロケーション、薬剤師の日本人プレーヤーで構成されたチームのジャージスポンサーをしています。たくさんの子どもたちも参加しました。楽しむことのできた大会となり、目標出会った５試合参戦も達成しました！大会の結果は、数々の好プレーによりクリアレイクユナイテッドを9-1で破り、3位になりました。 1位はアストロズ（前回の優勝者）、2位はルーキーズ（多分ルーキーズはいませんが…）となりました！次回の商工会が主催するイベントは、5月1日にシンコランチのゴルフクラブで開催されるゴルフトーナメントです。

The Japanese Business Association of Houston holds an annual softball tournament every year.  Unfortunately because of COVID, the tournament was canceled the past two years.  On April 17, 21 teams from dozens of Japanese companies in Houston came out to Cullen Park (right next to the velodrome!) to play ball. Some teams were made up of employees from the same company such as Sumitomo and Mitsui.  Other teams like Clear Lake United and Izakaya WA were made up of friends and members from all different companies. Annoura Realty Group, Izakaya WA, and NOAC (the website that brings you Houston Navi) were the jersey sponsors for Team Izakaya WA, which was made up of Japanese players from Chevron, JFC, Annoura Realty, Izakaya WA, Sunshine Relocation, a pharmacist, and a bunch of little kids. It was so much fun and we achieved our goal of playing 5 games. In the end, we made it to 3rd place, beating out Clear Lake United 9-1 in an action packed game. First place went to The Astros (again) and second place went to The Rookies (probably no rookies there)! It was a super fun day for everyone! The next fun JBAH event is around the corner- a golf tournament on May 1 at The Golf Club at Cinco Ranch.

ニュースを見逃した方達のための、ちょっとした情報です。飛行機内で必須とされていたマスクの着用が廃止されました！疾病対策予防センターは、公共交通機関に関するマスクの義務付けを延長しましたが、月曜日にフロリダ州の裁判官はこの義務を無効にしました。判決の直後、多くの米国の航空会社はマスク着用義務の要件を取り消し、マスクの着用は個人の自由と発表しました。こちらの取り消しを行った航空会社には、アメリカン航空、アラスカ航空、デルタ、サウスウエスト（イエイ！）、ジェットブルー、ユナイテッド、フロンティアなどがあります。オヘア空港やミッドウェイ空港内など、イリノイ州地方条例で必要とされる場合を除いて、空港内でのマスク着用も不要となりました。 4月18日火曜日の時点で、人気のあるタクシー会社であるウーバーリフトは、乗客と運転手どちらにもマスクの着用の義務付けが解除されました。

In case you missed the news, masks are NO LONGER REQUIRED on planes!  The CDC has recently extended a federal mask mandate on public transit but a Florida judge voided it on Monday. Immediately following the ruling, many U.S. airlines lifted their mask requirements, making mask wearing now optional.  Among the airlines no longer requiring masks are:  American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Delta, Southwest (yay!), JetBlue, United, Frontier.  Additionally, masks are no longer required inside airports except where local ordinances require them such as inside O’Hare and Midway Airports because of a local Illinois executive order still in effect. As of Tuesday April 18, Uber and Lyft, both popular ride sharing companies, both stopped requiring riders and drivers to wear masks.
