案浦家の最新ニュースでは、泰がネバダ州ラスベガスで開催されたフリーク ショーと呼ばれる全国アマチュア レスリング トーナメントでメダルを獲得し、5 位になりました。トーナメントは 10 月 15 ～ 16 日に West Gate Hotel and Casino で開催されました。スーザンはメキシコから直接行き、応援に駆けつけました(もちろん沢山のサンドイッチ、スナック、スポーツ ドリンクも忘れずに！)。 泰の階級は 120 ポンド 18以下部門と 18以下エリート部門に参加したため、ほとんどの参加者の 2 倍の試合数を戦う結果となりました。最初の 4 ラウンドすべてに勝利した後、彼は 2 日目にさらに 10 試合を戦い、最終的にエリート部門で 5 位になりました。いくつかの州のチャンピオンやファーゴの有名な競技者を含め、全国から強豪なレスラーが集まりました。男の子も女の子も、あらゆる年齢の子供たちが、3500人以上参加しました。最後のフライトに乗り遅れ、ホテルを探したり大変でしたが、午前 4 時に起床し、ヒューストンに戻る最初のフライトに乗り、私は仕事に、泰は学校に直行しました。

In Annoura family news, Ty Annoura medaled and took 5th place at a national amateur wrestling tournament called Freak Show, held in Las Vegas, NV.  The tournament was Oct 15-16 at the West Gate Hotel and Casino. Susan flew straight there from Mexico to cheer and support (and to buy many sandwiches, snacks, and sports drinks). Ty was entered in the 120 pound class, in the Boys 18U division as well as the 18U Elite division, so he wrestled double the amount of matches as most participants. After winning all four of his opening rounds, he battled in 10 MORE bouts on day 2 until finally winning 5th place in the Elite division. Wrestlers from all over the country were there, including several state champions and Fargo famous competitors. Kids of all ages, boys and girls, all competed at this huge competition of 3500+!  With Ty making it to almost the very end, we missed our last flight out and had to scramble to find a hotel. They woke up at 4am and caught the first flight back to Houston, then went straight to work and school!

In Mexico, people do not have to have a real estate license to practice real estate, so you need to be careful if you are buying property there. It is highly recommended that if you are buying property, that you use an agent who is a member of AMPI. AMPI is a Mexican real estate association for real estate professionals who adhere to best practices and a code of ethics. There are roughly 5000 members of AMPI and each year they have an annual conference called the Congreso.  The Congreso is held in a different city and as of 2018, the Houston Association of Realtors has sent the chairman of the Global Committee to attend. Susan was the chairman in 2018 so attended her first Congreso in Oaxaca, Mexico. The following year, her agent Pius was the chairman so she went with him to the 2019 Congreso in San Luis Potosi. In 2020, the Congreso was canceled because of COVID, and in 2021, Susan went again to the Congreso, this time in Tampico. Over the years, Susan has made some great relationships with realtors all over Mexico as well as some great relationships with other American realtors who also attend the Congreso every year. This year, the Congreso was held October 12-14 in Tijuana.  A group of about 10 Texas realtors flew to San Diego, then crossed the border into Tijuana. Together, they attended many networking events, the expo, and the convention itself. In attendance in the international delegation was the 2021 NAR President Charlie Oppler, who spoke on stage and led a very beneficial international networking event. There were beautiful parties and dinners and a final gala at the end. Through these international conferences, international connections can be made, which can result in new business! ヒューストン市長は毎年、領事舞踏会を主催します。これは、ヒューストンにオフィスを持つ 90 か国以上の領事館を称える正式なディナー パーティーです。領事舞踏会の伝統は 70 年前にさかのぼります。 1952 年にヒューストン商工会議所によって組織され、現在はヒューストン インターナショナル イニシアチブ (HII) によって組織されています。主な目的は、ヒューストンの国際社会への関与をサポートし、世界におけるヒューストンのグローバルな存在感を高めることです。毎年恒例の領事舞踏会に加えて、HII はヒューストンの姉妹都市イニシアチブの大きな支持者でもあります。日本にとって、ヒューストンの姉妹都市は東京に近い千葉市です。 10月22日から30日まで、地元のビジネス オーナーやリーダー (スーザンを含む) と一緒に市の職員のグループが東京と千葉を訪れ、ビジネスと文化の交流を促進します。ヒューストン・バレエ団が千葉で上演する白鳥の湖は、とても記憶に残るイベントになると期待されています。今年の領事舞踏会は、2022年10 月8日 土曜日、ジョージ R ブラウン コンベンション センターで開催されました。司会はシルベスター・ターナー市長でした。スーザンと攻は日本総領事館のテーブルに招待され、魔法のような夜となりました！

Every year, the Houston Mayor hosts the Consular Ball, a formal dinner party honoring the 90+ countries’ consulates with offices in Houston. The tradition of the Consular Ball goes back 70 years. It was first organized by the Houston Junior Chamber of Commerce in 1952 and is now organized by Houston International Initiatives (HII), whose core objectives are to support Houston’s international community engagement and to increase Houston’s global presence in the world. In addition to the annual Consular Ball, HII is also a big supporter of the Sister Cities of Houston initiative. For Japan, Houston’s sister city is Chiba, which is near Tokyo. Oct 22-30, a group of city officials together with local business owners and leaders (including Susan!) will visit Tokyo and Chiba to promote business and cultural exchanges. The Houston Ballet is set to perform Swan Lake in Chiba, which should be a very memorable event.  This year’s Consular Ball was held on Saturday Oct 8, 2022 at the George R Brown Convention Center. Mayor Sylvester Turner was the host. Susan and Koh were invited to join the Japanese Consul General’s table and it was indeed a very beautiful and magical evening!

All realtors are not the same! Some take extra classes and earn special designations depending on their specialties. For example, Susan has taken hundreds of hours of classes and has gotten the designations of CCIM (for commercial real estate), ABR (for working with buyers), and CIPS (for working with international clients).  CIPS stands for Certified International Property Specialist. Very recently, Mariko also took the 5 day series of classes and just submitted her application to the National Association of Realtors.  If all goes well, she will be approved by November, when both she and Susan will travel to Orlando, Florida for NAR’s annual national conference. On Friday Oct 7, HAR.com held a special reception for current and new CIPS realtors. It was a great event attended by many talented realtors, some who travelled from Austin and Dallas. In other exciting news, HAR.com will be rolling out a new platform for Houston realtors to partner with realtors in other countries to advertise and market foreign properties on HAR.com’s new Global International Exchange. Annoura Realty has partnered with Happy Coast in Manzanillo, Mexico and just listed our first five Mexican properties. This week, Oct 12-15, Susan will attend the AMPI Congreso, which is Mexico’s annual real estate conference.  This will be Susan’s 4th year to attend the Congreso, a great place to make international connections! 前回のニュースレターが発行された時、攻はカリフォルニア州カーソンで開催された UCI マスターズ トラック サイクリング世界選手権で最後のスプリント レースに出場していました。彼の対戦相手は、オーストラリア出身のアラン・タウンゼントという非常に強いレーサーでした。 3 レース中、 2 レース勝った方が優勝となる仕組みになっており、最初のレースはタウンセンドが勝ちました。2レース目は攻が勝ち、最終レースでは素晴らしい動きと力強いスプリント力を持った攻が勝利し見事に世界チャンピオンに輝きました。攻が表彰台に上がったとき、レースのリプレイが流れたり、日本の国歌である君が代が流れたりと、とても思い出に残る経験となりました。合計で、 8 レースに出場した攻は、4 人のレーサーを破り、メンズ 55-59 歳のカテゴリーで金メダルを獲得しました。日本はまた、スプリントレースでそれぞれの年齢カテゴリーで優勝した他の 2 人のレーサーを称えました。男子 50-54 部門で市本 隆二 選手、男子 36-40 部門で伊藤 信 選手が優勝しました。今年の大会に参加した世界中の素晴らしいレーサーの皆さん、おめでとうございます。来年の大会はイギリスのマンチェスターで開催されます！ Koh の最終レース是非、以下のURLからご覧ください: https://youtu.be/xCqOzN8DNbs

On the day and hour that our last newsletter went out, Koh was just about to start his final Sprint race at the UCI Masters Track Cycling World Championships,held in Carson, California. His opponent was a very strong racer from Australia named Alan Townsend.  It was a best two out of three series and Townsend won the first race.  Koh came back and won the second race.  And, on the third race, Koh did some nice movements and strong sprinting to win!  It was super exciting to watch his race and to hear KIMIGAYO, Japan’s national anthem, when Koh took the podium. In the semi finals, Koh beat Frederick Stanage of the United States in 2 races. Altogether, Koh raced 8 races and beat 4 racers to take home the gold in the Mens 55-59 age category. Japan also celebrated two other racers who also won the Sprint race in their age categories. Ryuji Ichimoto won in the Mens 50-54 category and Shin Itoh won in the Mens 36-40 category.  Congratulations to all the fine racers from all over the world who participated in this year’s competition.
