  • 旧正月おめでとうございます！

    2026年2月17日より旧正月がスタートしました。今年は「巳年」から「午年」へとバトンタッチです！蛇が脱皮を終えるように、人々も不要な物や関係性を手放し、新たなスタートに向けて道を切り開く時期だと言われています。そして今年はただの午年ではありません。「火の馬（Fire Horse）」の年です！この特別な干支は60年に一度しか巡ってこないと言われています。つまり、今年はハイエネルギー、情熱、そして急速な変化の年となりそうです。古い仕組みを揺さぶり、もう機能していないものに挑戦する年。大胆な変革と自己成長の年です。スピード感を持って、大きく考え、変化を楽しみましょう！

    Happy Chinese New Year! The Lunar New Year started Feb 17, 2026, out with the snake and in with the horse! People say that the as the snake completes its shedding, people get rid of things and relationships that they don’t need or that just require releasing, in order to clear the path for the horse! Did you know that this year it is not only the year of the horse, but it is the year of the FIRE HORSE! They say this special horse year only comes around once every 60 years so get ready for some HIGH ENERGY, PASSION, and RAPID CHANGE. We are in for shaking up old systems and challenging what no longer works. This is the year for bold transformation and personal growth. Get ready to move fast, think big, and embrace change!

    もう12月中旬になり、2024年もあと2週間で終わりです！本当に時が経つのは早いですね。

    我が家の近況をご報告しますと、ザックが学校のミュージカル「アダムスファミリー」に出演し、ルーカス役を演じました。放課後、毎日1ヶ月間練習を重ねてきた成果がしっかりと出ていて、舞台がどのように仕上がったかを見るのは本当に素晴らしい体験でした。ソロパートも担当し、たくさんの観客の前で歌う姿に家族一同とても誇りに思いました。よく頑張ったね、ザック！ホリデーシーズンも間近になり、丈はオースティンから戻ってきて冬休みを楽しんでいます。そして泰はなんと「明日」帰ってきます！2週間家族と一緒に過ごせるので、みんなとても楽しみにしています。ザックは今週いっぱい学校がありますが、その後、家族5人でパゴサスプリングスに向かい、リフレッシュして心身ともに充電してくる予定です。この時期は、年末の財務計画や固定資産税の支払い（痛い出費！）を済ませ、クリスマスカードの準備に追われる毎日です（今週やっと送る予定です！）。みなさんも、今年最後の数週間を元気に乗り切ってくださいね！

    Mid December already and we have just two more weeks left in 2024! Time moves so fast these days. For our family news, Zach performed in a school musical, The Addams Family, playing the role of Lucas. He and his cast have been practicing after school day after day for a month and it was so neat to see how the show came together. Zach had a solo and we were super proud of him getting up on stage to sing in front of everyone! Good job, Zach! With the holidays coming soon, Joe has come back from Austin and is now enjoying his winter break. Ty comes home TOMORROW! We are super excited to him back with us for TWO WEEKS! Zach has school until the end of this week and then the 5 Annouras are heading to Pagosa Springs to reset and recharge. It’s a busy time of the year as we do our end of the year financial planning, pay for property taxes (ouch!), and try to get out Christmas cards (going out this week, finally!).  Good luck, everyone, getting through the final weeks of the year!

  • HAR ホリデー昼食会

    毎年恒例の HAR Advisory Group の昼食会が 11月30日にメディカル センターの Wolfgang Puck レストランで開催されました。 HAR.com には、ヒューストンの不動産メンバーで構成される多数のグループがあります。彼らは自ら時間を割いて定期的に集まり、業界の問題について話し合い、会員、協会、消費者に利益をもたらす解決策や新しいプログラムを提案します。委員会は、YPN (若手専門家ネットワーク)、グローバル (スーザンは元委員長)、MLS、リスク軽減、政治問題、リスク管理などの特定の専門分野に焦点を当てています。1 年間のボランティア活動を記念して、HAR は全員が参加する年次昼食会を開催します。 Houston Association of Realtors (HAR) には現在 50,000 人を超える会員がおり、これらの諮問グループは組織をより良くするために常に取り組んでいます。

    The annual HAR Advisory Group holiday luncheon took place on Nov 30 at Wolfgang Puck restaurant in the Medical Center. HAR.com has many advisory groups comprised of Houston realtor members. They volunteer their time to meet regularly to discuss problems in the industry and also ro suggest solutions and new programs that will help benefit the members, association, and consumers. Committees focus on particular specialties such as YPN (Young Professionals Network), Global (Susan is past chairman), MLS, Risk Reduction, Political Affairs, Risk Management, etc. To commemorate a year’s worth of volunteering, HAR holds an annual luncheon where all advisory group members come together. The Houston Assocation of Realtors (HAR) has over 50,000 members now and these advisory groups constantly work to make it better and better.

    猛暑が続く毎日ですが、もうすぐ秋ですね！ 毎年恒例のレイバーデーの週末は、実は秋シーズンの始まりを意味します。 今年のレイバーデーは9月4日です。 月曜日は、多くの労働者にとって 3 連休の締めくくりとなります。 レイバーデーのパレード、パーティー、ピクニックで夏の終わりを祝う人が沢山いると思います。 米国初のレイバーデーは、1887 年にオレゴン州によって宣言されました。グローバー クリーブランド大統領は、1894 年にこの日を連邦祝日として宣言し、19 世紀に公正な労働条件を求めた後、勤勉なアメリカの労働者を称えるために創設されました。 家族や友人と共に過ごすための祝日であり、ハンバーガーやホットドッグ、そして季節の終わりを示すためにスイカをを食べる人も多いようです。 大学フットボールや全米オープンテニストーナメントを観戦する人もいます。  秋が到来し、気温が涼しくなってきたので、白いパンツを脱ぎ捨て、「レイバーデーの後は白は禁止」というルールが引き継がれている伝統的な祝日です。

    Although we might forget about it with the current heat wave, Fall is coming!  The annual Labor Day holiday weekend signifies the unofficial start to the Fall season.  Labor Day falls on September 4th this year. The Monday caps off a 3 day weekend for many workers. Labor Day parades, parties and picnics have many celebrating the end of summer. The first Labor Day holiday in the US was declared by the state of Oregon in 1887. President Grover Cleveland declared it a Federal Holiday in 1894. The day was created to honor the hard working American worker after the 19th century push for fair working conditions.  Labor Day here is a day for family and friends and a break from the every day! Americans will feast on burgers and hot dogs and end of the season watermelon. They might watch some college football or even the US Open Tennis Tournament. And when it’s all over, and they head back to work they will all remember two things; Fall and cooler temps are coming and it’s time to put away the white pants and honor the traditional rule of “no white after Labor Day”.
