クレアレイク高校 ホームカミング！

ホームカミングは、団体を祝うために、卒業生や他の元メンバーを再び歓迎する伝統的なイベントです。 これはアメリカで多くの高校、大学、教会での伝統行事です。 クリアレイク高校は2日前にホームカミングを行いました。 彼らは土曜日にダンス、金曜日にフットボールの試合、そして水曜日に大規模なパレードでお祝いをしました。 パレードはとても楽しかったし、天気も最高でした。 各スポーツやクラブには、メンバーが乗るフロートがあります。 丈はゴルフ チームのフロートによく乗っていましたが、泰はいつもレスリング チームのフロートに乗っています。 事前に多くの保護者が集まり、山車作りを手伝います。 そして、パレードが始まると、高校生たちを乗せたカラフルでお祭り的な山車が観客を喜ばせ、たくさんのキャンディーを投げつけます。 子どもたちはみんな（そして私たちのような親たちもいます！笑）とても楽しんでいます。 泰は今年が高校最後の年で、これが私たちにとってしばらく最後のホームカミングパレードになるので、それを見るために参加できてとてもうれしかったです。 スーザンも通った学校であるクリアレイク高校、皆さんよろしくお願いします！

Homecoming is the tradition of welcoming back alumni or other former members of an organization to celebrate the organization’s existence. It is a tradition in many high schools, colleges, and churches in the United States. Clear Lake High School had their homecoming two days ago. They celebrated with a dance on Saturday, a football game on Friday, and a big parade on Wednesday. The parade was very fun and the weather was perfect. Each sport or club has a float that the members ride on. Joe used to ride on the Golf Team float and Ty always rides on the Wrestling Team’s float. Beforehand, many parents gather to help build the float. Then, once the parade begins, the spectators are delighted by the colorful and festive floats loaded with high school kids, throwing out handfuls of candy! All the children (and some parents like us, haha!) have so much fun. This is Ty’s last year of high school and this will be our last homecoming parade for a while, so we were super happy to be in town to catch it. All hail to Clear Lake High School, the school that Susan also attended!
