    機内のマスク着用令の廃止

    ニュースを見逃した方達のための、ちょっとした情報です。飛行機内で必須とされていたマスクの着用が廃止されました！疾病対策予防センターは、公共交通機関に関するマスクの義務付けを延長しましたが、月曜日にフロリダ州の裁判官はこの義務を無効にしました。判決の直後、多くの米国の航空会社はマスク着用義務の要件を取り消し、マスクの着用は個人の自由と発表しました。こちらの取り消しを行った航空会社には、アメリカン航空、アラスカ航空、デルタ、サウスウエスト（イエイ！）、ジェットブルー、ユナイテッド、フロンティアなどがあります。オヘア空港やミッドウェイ空港内など、イリノイ州地方条例で必要とされる場合を除いて、空港内でのマスク着用も不要となりました。 4月18日火曜日の時点で、人気のあるタクシー会社であるウーバーリフトは、乗客と運転手どちらにもマスクの着用の義務付けが解除されました。

    In case you missed the news, masks are NO LONGER REQUIRED on planes!  The CDC has recently extended a federal mask mandate on public transit but a Florida judge voided it on Monday. Immediately following the ruling, many U.S. airlines lifted their mask requirements, making mask wearing now optional.  Among the airlines no longer requiring masks are:  American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Delta, Southwest (yay!), JetBlue, United, Frontier.  Additionally, masks are no longer required inside airports except where local ordinances require them such as inside O’Hare and Midway Airports because of a local Illinois executive order still in effect. As of Tuesday April 18, Uber and Lyft, both popular ride sharing companies, both stopped requiring riders and drivers to wear masks.

    10年前、グッと！地球便！という日本のテレビ番組が、案浦 攻の生活を撮影するためにヒューストンまできました。この番組では、日本を離れて海外に住む日本人を特集し、家族と一緒に海外で何をしているのかを紹介します。カメラスタッフは、アメリカ内や世界中を旅して、日本国外で生活する日本人を探しています。最初のエピソードは、攻は自転車のフレームを作る人として紹介され、子供は2人しかいませんでした（最初の撮影中にZachをまだ妊娠中でした）。また、案浦不動産を開業して2年しか経っていませんでした。プロデューサーは10年後の生活を再び撮影するために攻に電話をし、4月9日にヒューストンへ来ました。現在、家族は5人となり、攻は再び自転車競技に参加し、家は引っ越し、会社には7人の社員がいます。番組は5月中に放送予定です。日本のテレビ番組は案浦家で見ることができないので、ご覧になった方は是非お知らせください！

    Ten years ago, a Japanese TV show called Gutto Chikyuubin came to Houston to film the life of Koh Annoura.  The show features Japanese people who have left Japan to live abroad and shows their family back home and their countrymen what that person is doing abroad. The camera crew goes all over the U.S. and all over the world to find interesting Japanese people to show Japan what they are doing outside of Japan. In the original episode, Koh was a bicycle frame builder, we had only two kids (I was very pregnant with Zach during the first shoot), and I had opened Annoura Realty Group for two years. The producers called Koh for a 10 year follow up story and came to Houston again to film Koh and us on April 9th. Now we have 5 people in our family, Koh is racing bikes again, we have changed houses, and our company has now 7 members. The show will air some time in May. We don’t have Japanese TV channels so if you see it, let us know!

     Did you know the state of Texas has a weekend during the year where you can buy emergency preparedness supplies TAX FREE?!  Yes, that weekend is this weekend, April 23 midnight -25 midnight (yes they give you all day Monday also).     テキサス州の花はブルーボネットと呼ばれるもので、3月下旬から4月上旬に咲く花として有名です。週末に見に行く機会があれば、素敵な家族写真などを撮るのにいい機会だと思います！毎年、スーザンは満開のブルーボネットを見るために子供たちを引き連れ、家族で田舎まで行きます。ブルーボネットの畑にいる子供たちの写真を撮るのが大好きです。丈が18歳になった今年までずっと案浦家の毎年恒例行事となっています。今年は、ベルビルミートマーケットの近くに良い畑を発見し、まず、ベイクドポテトとバーベキューブリスケットをいただきました。とても美味しくてボリュームも満点でお勧めです！。ベルビルミートマーケットから、W Main St.を左折し、次に159を左折します。159通りを約15分間そのまま直進すると、右側にブルーボネットの畑が現れます。ヒューストンのダウンタウンからわずか約1時間で到着できるとても行きやすい場所です！

    The state flower of Texas is called the bluebonnet.  These gorgeous blue flowers bloom in late March until early April.  If you have a chance to go see them, they are worth getting dressed up for to take some nice family pictures!  Each year, Susan drags her boys to the countryside in search of the perfect bluebonnet patch.  She has pictures of her boys in the bluebonnet fields from when they were very small, all the way until today, when Joe the oldest is now 18. This year, we discovered a decent field near the Bellville Meat Market. First of all, if you go to the Bellville Meat Market, please order yourself a baked potato with BBQ brisket.  It is absolutely to die for, huge and delicious. From the Bellville Meat Market, make a left on W Main St., then a left on 159.  Stay on 159 for about 15 minutes and you will see a field of bluebonnets on your right.  It’s only about an hour from downtown Houston and definitely worth a trip!

    ヒューストン日本商工会は4月17日に、毎年恒例のソフトボールトーナメントを開催します。このトーナメントには、優勝トロフィーを求めて多くの日本企業と外国人で構成されたチームが参加します。 案浦不動産は、日本の大手企業に属していない個人で構成される居酒屋 和のジャージスポンサーをしています。シェベロンの日本人エンジニアや、医療センターで働く日本人医師、そして居酒屋　和、サンシャイン リロケーション、案浦不動産からはスーザンと稔 (もしかしたら攻も？)など多くの日本関連企業のオーナーが参加します。同じジャージを数年チームで使ったため、今年は新しいジャージをデザインしました！17日にお披露目できるように作成中ですので、お楽しみに…！

    The annual Japan Business Association of Houston is holding their annual softball tournament on April 17.  This tournament brings together many of the Japanese companies and expats as they battle for a coveted trophy. Annoura Realty is one of the jersey sponsors for Team Izakaya Wa, a team made up of individuals who don’t belong to a big Japanese company.  We have players Japanese engineers from Chevron, Japanese doctors working in the medical center, and the owners of various Japanese related companies like Izakaya Wa, Sunshine Relocation, and Susan and Mik (and maybe Koh?) from Annoura Realty Group. After several years of the same jersey, we are getting new ones made and designed. They should be ready by game day. Batter UP!
