  • Mr. McKinney の歴史を巡るバスツアー

    ヒューストンのダウンタウンをドライブし美しい景色を見たことはありますか？ 高速道路I-45S 、59N や、I-10 など、いろいろな経由でドライブできます。ダウンタウンの各建物には興味深い歴史があり、多くの建物は50年以上前に建築されたものです。 2022 年 9 月 8 日に女性不動産協会とともにヒューストンの歴史を学ぶために、スーザンはイベントを開催しました。約 40 人のメンバーとゲストがMr. McKinneyの主催する歴史を巡るバスツアーに参加しました。ツアー中にはあMr. McKinneyがガイドを勤め、ポスターや、建設の背後にある歴史を説明し、ダウンタウンの有名な建物の多くに関する興味深いトリビアなどで楽しませてくれました。スクールバスがオープンカーとなっている車を使い、自分んお好きな飲み物を持ち込むことも可能です！とても楽しい経験となりました。皆様にも是非お勧めします！このツアーの詳細については、以下のウェブサイトをご覧ください。 www.AboutMisterMcKinney.com 

    Have you ever driven towards downtown Houston and marveled at how beautiful our skyline is?  I do it all the time and love every angle, coming towards it from I-45S, going right next to it on 59N, driving right into it on I-10. Each building downtown has an interesting story to it, and many of those buildings were built 50+ years ago. In order to learn some Houston history, Susan organized an event with the Women’s Council of Realtors on Sept 8, 2022.  About 40 members and guests took a ride on the Mister McKinney’s Historic Bus Tour.  On the tour, our guide Mr. McKinney showed posters of before and after, explained the history behind the construction, and shared some interesting trivia about many of the famous buildings downtown. He uses an open air school bus and people can bring on their own drinks. Everyone loved it and we also recommend it to you!   • シェフ　小林さん、お誕生日おめでとう！

    私たちのお気に入りであるヒューストンのパティシエ の小林さんが、8月6日に 60 歳の還暦誕生日を迎えました。小林さんは、メモリアルにある本格的な日本のベーカリー「シェズ・コバヤシ」のパティシエです。 14522 Memorial Dr. Houston, TX 77079 にあるこちらのお店は、オープンして 1 年が経ち、日本人コミュニティでますます知名度が高まっています！彼らは自家製でクロワッサンを作り、さまざまなタルトやケーキ、クッキー、フランスのお菓子に、キッシュ、クレープも提供しています！是非皆様も立ち寄ってください！小林さん、還暦おめでとうございます。ブラボー！！！！！

    Our favorite patisserie chef in Houston celebrated his 60th birthday on Aug 6!  Mr. Kobayashi is the head patisserie chef at Chez Kobayashi, an authentic Japanese bakery in Memorial. Located at 14522 Memorial Dr. Houston, TX 77079, this French pastries shop has been open now for 1 year and is becoming more and more well known in the Japanese community. They make their croissants in house, and serve a variety of beautiful tarts and cakes, as well as an assortment of cookies, French pastries, quiche, and crepes.  Stop by and check it out!  Happy Birthday, Kobabayashi san.  Brrrrrravo!!!

  • 歓迎会 – 日本総領事

    2022年8月7日、ヒューストンで活躍する日系アメリカ人メンバーと共に、とても日本総領事の歓迎会がSeason’s 52 で開催されました。グレン・ゴンドー、ジョージ・ヒラサキ、メインホステスのドナ・コールを含む旭日章受賞者3名も出席しました。村林弘文総領事とオーロラ夫人は、ヒューストンの米日カウンシルのメンバー、日本人医師やアーティスト、その他多くの日本人コミュニティの活発なメンバーに歓迎されました。 コロナの影響で過去2年間における多くの活動や行事が制限されたため、多くの人とこのように集まるのは久しぶ久しぶりとなりました。その他のニュースとしては、ヒューストン市長のシルベスター・ターナーが、10 月末に東京で開催される新しい USJC で講演をする予定です。私たちのグループ (スーザンも含まれているかもしれません!) は、市長の側近として、日本の他の市職員やビジネス リーダー (経団連) と交流する予定です。ワクワクします！

    A very nice party was held on August 7, 2022 at Season’s 52 with many of Houston’s active members of the Japanese American society. Three Order of the Rising Sun award recipients were present including Glen Gondo, George Hirasaki, and Donna Cole, who was the main hostess. Japanese Consul General Hirofumi Murabayashi and his lovely wife Aurora were welcomed by many Houston members of the US-Japan Council, a few local Japanese doctors and artists, and many other active members of the Japanese community. With Covid having shut down many activities over the past two years, it was ‘sashiburi’ (long time no see) for everyone to see each other. In other exciting upcoming news, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner will be a speaker at the new USJC convention in Tokyo at the end of October. A group of us (Susan maybe included!) will be in the mayor’s entourage to meet other city officials and business leaders (keidanren) in Japan.  Will be exciting!

  • ヒューストン不動産協会 取締役 – 選挙結果！

    前回の記事で選挙について発表させていただきましたが、ヒューストン不動産協会の選挙結果が発表されました！なんと、スーザンは中規模企業部門で当選、2023 年取締役会の新しいメンバーになることを皆様にお伝えすることができ、とても嬉しいです。ヒューストン不動産協会には 47,000 人を超える会員数となっています。多くの同業者からリーダーシップチームのメンバーに選ばれることは、とても名誉なことです。選挙キャンペーンを行い、投票してもらい、スーザン当選までの長い道のりをサポートしてくれたすべてのヒューストン不動産業者に感謝しております。そして、新しく当選された他のメンバーに心からお祝いを申し上げます!

    The last newsletter came out on the eve of the results for the Houston Association of Realtors Board of Directors election. We are excited to announce that Susan won in her Medium Firms category and will be a new member of the board of directors in 2023! The Houston Association of Realtors has over 47,000 members. It is such an honor to be elected by her peers to serve on the leadership team.  Thank you to all Houston realtors who campaigned, voted, and supported Susan on her journey and congratulations to all the newly elected board members! 

  • HAR 取締役会選挙！

    2023年のHAR取締役会の選挙が先週開始され、1週間の投票期間が本日で終了となります。ヒューストンの48,000人のメンバーを代表して、不動産協会メンバーのために今後における多くの規則やルールの変更などを行います。取締役会は、会社の規模（エージェントの数）と事務所の地区に基づいて選出されたメンバーで構成されています。 案浦不動産は9人のエージェントを抱えており、中規模企業カテゴリー（エージェント数5人から24人まで）に立候補しました。スーザンと案浦チームは先週１週間選挙キャンペーンを行いました。多くの人にどうして立候補したのかと質問されました。スーザンは全米不動産協会の将来をメンバーのためにより良いものにするため、貢献できたらと考えています。多くのエージェントの取締役会にアイデアを伝えたり、新たなアイデアで協会を変えるよう投票したり、選出されることはとても名誉なことであり、スーザンが業界に還元できる1つの方法だと考えています。選出された場合、スーザンは2年間の任期を務めます。受賞者は本日発表され、次のにゅーすれたーで結果報告します。候補者は以下よりご参照ください：www.har.com/election

    It’s the final push!  The 2023 HAR Board of Directors election ends TODAY after one week of voting.  Representing Houston’s 48,000 realtors, the Board of Directors votes on and decides many of the rules and services that affect the members of the association. To be representative, the board consists of members who are elected based on the size of their firms (number of agents) and the geographic location of the agent’s office. Having 9 agents, Annoura Realty Group falls into the Medium Firms Category (agent count 5-24), so Susan is running in this category. Susan and her team campaigned ALL last week, at election party after election party, asking for votes. Asked WHY she is running? Quite simply, Susan cares about the future of the realtor community and wants to contribute however she can. Whether it be to convey ideas from her colleagues to the board, or voting with the board to affect change, being elected to this position by her peers would be an honor and ultimately, is one way she can give back to her industry.
