案浦ファミリーの近況ですが、ここ数週間は家族みんながあちこちを飛び回っていました。まず、丈が少なくとも当面の間、日本へ完全に引っ越しました！新しいアパート探しを手伝うため、スーザンと攻も一緒に日本へ行きました。当初は中目黒を中心に探していましたが、不動産業の友人を通じて、最終的に麻布十番のコンドミニアムに決まりました。攻は、周辺に小さなお店やレストラン、ベーカリーなどがたくさんある街の雰囲気をとても気に入っていました。また、丈のオフィスがある六本木までもわずか1駅という便利な立地です。ただ一つ問題なのは、アパートへの入居が9月25日までできないこと！そのため現在はスカイツリー近くの友人宅に滞在しています。今のところ通勤に1時間ほどかかりますが、それも一時的なものです。そして今回、日本滞在中に大変お世話になった案浦不動産のお客様にも心より感謝いたします。日暮里のお家に滞在させてくださった清水さん、新宿の高層マンションに泊めてくださった拓也さん、そしてKodai、Kazuki x 2、Yoshiki、現在丈をコンドミニアムに泊めてくださり、本当にありがとうございます！スーザン、攻、丈はそれぞれ違うタイミングで、攻のご両親に会うため福岡にも行きました。そして嬉しいご報告ですが、90歳になる攻のお父様は無事に自宅へ戻り、テレビを見たり、時々ビールを楽しんだり、週3回デイサービスへ通ったりしながら元気に過ごしています。この記事を書いている現在、スーザンと攻は次男の泰に会うためアナポリスを訪れています。米国海軍兵学校のParents Weekendに参加しており、泰が普段どのような生活をしているのか実際に見ることができ、とても楽しい時間を過ごしています。詳しくは別の記事でご紹介していますので、ぜひそちらもご覧ください！
In Annoura Family news, the members of our family have been all over the place this past few weeks. First of all, Joe has moved permanently to Japan, at least for the foreseeable future! Susan and Koh both went to Japan with him to help him find his new apartment. We had been targeting Nakameguro but ended up through a realtor friend, taking a condo in Azabu Juban. Koh loved the atmosphere of the area, with little shops, restaurants, and bakeries all around. It is also only one stop away from Roppongi, which is where Joe’s office is located. The only problem is, his apartment won’t be ready until Sept 25, so he is now staying with friends near the SkyTree! It’s a one hour commute for now, but just temporarily. Many thanks to our Annoura Realty clients Shimizu san for letting us stay at one of his houses in Nippori, Takuya san for letting me stay at his highrise in Shinjuku, Kodai/ Kazuki x 2, Yoshiki for letting Joe stay at your condo for now. Susan, Koh, and Joe all went to Fukuoka to visit with Koh’s parents at different times, and we are so happy to report that Koh’s 90 year old dad is back home watching TV, drinking the occasional beer, and going to adult daycare 3 times a week. At the time of this writing, Susan and Koh are in Annapolis visiting son #2, Ty. It’s Parents Weekend at the U.S. Naval Academy and we are really enjoying getting to see how Ty lives.
