ダラスを拠点とするArcis Golfは、来月開催されるクラブの主要イベントに先立ち、ザ・ウッドランズ・カントリークラブにおける総額3,000万ドルの改修計画の第1フェーズ完了を発表しました。5月8日〜10日に開催されるPGAツアーチャンピオンズのInsperity Invitationalに向けてウッドランズを訪れるゴルファーは、改修を終えたばかりのトーナメントコースでプレーすることになります。この18ホール・パー72のコースは1978年に開場した歴史あるコースで、長年にわたりShell Houston Openや2008年以降はInsperity Invitationalの開催地として知られています。今回のトーナメントコース改修完了を受け、Arcis Golfは今後、今夏よりトーナメントクラブハウスの改修およびプレイヤーコースの修復に着手する予定です。Walker氏によると、今後もクラブへの投資は継続され、会員からのフィードバックを反映しながら、クラブの歴史との調和を図りつつ、健康・ウェルネス・ダイニングの充実に重点を置いていく方針とのことです。
Dallas-based Arcis Golf has unveiled the first phase of its planned $30 million restoration of The Woodlands Country Club ahead of one of the club’s major events next month. Golfers traveling to The Woodlands for the PGA Tour Champions’ Insperity Invitational, May 8-10, will play on the freshly renovated Tournament Course. The 18-hole, par-72 course, originally opened in 1978, is considered historic, having hosted the Shell Houston Open for many years and Insperity since 2008. With the renovation of the Tournament Course completed, Arcis Golf said, it will turn to work on the Tournament Clubhouse, to begin this summer, and restoration of the Player Course. Walker said that future investments at the club will be ongoing and will focus on enhancing health, wellness and dining options in response to member feedback, while aligning with the club’s history.
