今回の案浦家ニュースは、現在日本で生活している丈の近況からスタートです！日本橋での最初の3週間の研修を無事に終え、麻布十番ではお神輿のお祭りにも参加しました！現在はシルバーウィークを利用して福岡を訪れ、祖父母との時間を過ごしながら少しゆっくり休んでいるようです。普段は毎朝仕事前に日本語のレッスンを受け、約1時間かけてオフィスへ通勤し、仕事の後には友人たちと夕食に出かけることもあるとのこと。海外採用の同期は5人おり、今のところみんな一緒に行動していますが、今月末に研修が終了すると、それぞれ別のグループに配属される予定です。頑張れ、丈！！泰は引き続き海軍兵学校で頑張っています。最近何枚か写真が届き、その中には士官候補生たちが9.11を追悼する階段ランに参加している様子もありました。ザックもこの2週間はイベント盛りだくさん！Clear Lake高校のホームカミングパレードに参加し、友人たちとホームカミングダンスにも出席しました。また、Japan Festivalでは両日ボランティアとして参加し、日本人会の皆さんと一緒に水風船ヨーヨーや日本のスタンプカード作り、たこ焼きの販売などをお手伝いしました。そして先週金曜日にはStudent Officer選挙の投票が行われ、その結果がいよいよ明日発表されます！スーザンと攻はというと、スーザンはHAR Strategic Leadership Summitのため3日間ガルベストンへ。一方、攻は日本から戻った後の時差ボケを解消しながら、予定していた自転車レースに向けて体を整えていましたが、今回は体調が万全ではないと判断し、残念ながら出場を見送ることにしました。残念、攻！
We start Annoura Family News with Joe living in Japan now. He has made it through his first 3 weeks of training at Nihonbashi and even participated in Omikoshi festival in Azabu Juban! Right now, Joe is enjoying Silver Week in Fukuoka, visiting his grandparents and getting a little R&R. He says normally, he has to take Japanese lessons every morning before work, travel one hour to his office, and sometimes goes out to dinner with friends afterwards. There are 5 international hires and they all stick together for now, until the company splits them up into different groups after their training ends at the end of the month. Gambare, Joe!! Ty is plugging away at the Naval Academy. We got a few pictures of him, one where the midshipmen were doing a 911 stair run. Zach had an eventful couple of weeks, participating in the Clear Lake High School homecoming parade and homecoming dance with a group of friends. He also volunteered both days at the Japan Festival making balloon yo-yo’s, Japanese stamp cards, and selling Takoyaki with the Nihonjinkai. We find out tomorrow the results of his Student Officer election. Voting was last Friday! As for Susan and Koh, Susan was in Galveston for 3 days for her HAR Strategic Leadership Summit while Koh took time shaking off his Japan jetlag and trying to get into shape for an upcoming bike race that he finally decided not to compete in because he didn’t feel up to par. Sorry, Koh!
